Shangela is facing serious accusations.
In a new Rolling Stone report, the 42-year-old RuPaul’s Drag Race breakthrough star is being accused of sexual assault by multiple people.
Four people allege to Rolling Stone that Shangela (Darius Jeremy “DJ” Pierce) either sexually assaulted them or attempted to have sex with them when they were too inebriated to consent, and a fifth person claims the drag star attempted anal penetration in a bathroom closet despite rejecting his advances.
Keep reading to find out more…
The allegations were laid out in a recently settled civil lawsuit against the star by a former colleague. According to the court documents, he was accused of raping a production assistant from HBO‘s We’re Here after purchasing several drinks for them.
Shangela, through his lawyer Andrew Brettler, called the allegations “false and unsupported by any evidence or reliable witness testimony,” and said that there were “significant problems with purported accusers’ accounts.

Shangela was a breakthrough star. With her sharp-tongued retorts, viral catchphrases, and distinctive Southern accent, the gregarious Texas drag queen quickly rose to become one of RuPaul’s Drag Race’s most beloved contestants. “[It’s] like ‘Angela’ with an ‘S-h,’” she explained on the show. “The debutantess of the Deep South.”

Russell Brand claims he doesn’t “recognize” the actress suing him for sex assault in New York and that there’s no way he drunkenly accosted her on the set of the film Arthur because he was already years into his decades-long sobriety during production.
In documents filed Tuesday and obtained by Rolling Stone, Brand answers the woman’s Nov. 6 complaint. The comedian says the “entire lawsuit” is premised on the “false claim” that he was visibly intoxicated when he allegedly exposed himself and assaulted the plaintiff while filming the...

Justin Roiland, co-creator of the acclaimed animated series “Rick and Morty,” is facing new allegations of sexual misconduct, including that he sexually assaulted a woman, and engaged in inappropriate communication with minors.
In an article, published Wednesday by NBC and citing several unnamed women, Roiland was also accused of pressuring dates to have sex, taking advantage of his fame to pursue younger fans, and plying dates with alcohol, among other things.
The accusations are unrelated to the accusations of domestic violence against Roiland, which were dismissed by a judge in March.
Roiland’s attorney, Andrew Brettler, didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from TheWrap. However, Brettler told NBC that the accusations are “false and defamatory.”

Los Angeles, June 1 (Ians) The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s (Da) office has decided not to file sexual assault charges against actor Armie Hammer, following a lengthy investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
In a statement, the Da’s office said it could not prove rape allegations beyond a reasonable doubt, in part due to the “complexity of the relationship” between Hammer and the accuser, reports ‘Variety’.
According to ‘Variety’, the accuser, who was previously identified as Effie, reported Hammer to the police in February 2021.
She claimed that Hammer had been physically abusive during an on-and-off relationship that spanned four years, and said that he had violently raped her in 2017.
Hammer has vehemently denied her allegations.
The Da’s office said that it assigns experienced prosecutors to review sexual assault investigations.

The Los Angeles District Attorney has chosen not to go forward with charges against Armie Hammer stemming from a 2021 Los Angeles Police Department investigation due to a lack of firm evidence.
“Sexual assault cases are often difficult to prove, which is why we assign our most experienced prosecutors to review them. In this case, those prosecutors conducted an extremely thorough review, but determined that at this time, there is insufficient evidence to charge Mr. Hammer with a crime,” Tiffiny Blacknell, director of the Bureau of Communications at the L.A. D.A.’s office, told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement.
“As prosecutors, we have an ethical responsibility to only charge cases that we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt. We know that it is hard for women to report sexual assault. Even when we cannot move forward with a prosecution, our victim service representatives will be available to those who seek our victim support services.

Jazzmyn Wollfe was visibly uncomfortable. Sitting in the driver’s seat of her car in an open parking lot, the 28-year-old looked around and drew a quick breath, glancing at her phone perched on the dashboard recording her. Awaiting a reply on the other end of the device was comedian Chris D’Elia, who Wollfe says had instructed her to send over an explicit video of herself in public view.
Wollfe only had seconds to comply. If she didn’t send over the footage fast enough, she knew he’d become furious.

Blair Berk and Andrew Brettler, two of the entertainment industry’s most well-known and respected lawyers, have teamed up to combine their civil and criminal practices into a one-stop-shop boutique firm.
A go-to civil litigator and fixture on THR‘s Power Lawyers list, Brettler has a client including Chelsea Handler, Sydney Sweeney, Amy Robach and Kevin O’Leary. Meanwhile, as one of the industry’s top lawyers handling criminal matters for both defendants and victims, Berk’s clients have included Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum and Alexandra Daddario.
Despite having crossed paths on cases several times over the past decade on shared clients like Armie Hammer, they actually didn’t meet in person for the first time until about five years ago. Then, in mid-December, the duo — along with associates Jake Camara, Regina Peter and Tom Jones — quietly launched their West Hollywood-based firm.

Tiffany Haddish has broken her silence after she and fellow comedian Aries Spears were accused of grooming and molestation.
Last week, a 22-year-old woman sued the pair on behalf of her younger brother and herself. They were identified as Jane and John Doe, respectively.
In court documents, Jane alleged that Haddish “groomed” the plaintiffs, traumatizing them and leaving them with social disorders.
In the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Jane said she was 14 years old when Tiffany Haddish allegedly convinced her to film a sexually suggestive video and taught her how to mimic a sexually explicit act.
The lawsuit also alleges that John Doe, who was seven at the time, was molested by both Spears and Haddish while filming a video which was titled “Through a Pedophiles Eyes.

“Effie,” one of the women who, in 2021, had accused Armie Hammer of rape and physical abuse, called producers of the new Discovery+ docuseries “House of Hammer” “disgusting” for “exploiting” her trauma even though she opted to not be included in the project.
The three-part documentary from Elli Hakami and Julian Hobbs that premiered on Friday explores the allegations leveled against the “Call Me by Your Name” star last year, as well as the disturbing history of his family.

After suing former ‘SNL’ star Horatio Sanz for sexual assault, a woman has sought the court’s permission to add Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michaels, and Tracy Morgan as defendants, arguing that they enabled Sanz’ misconduct, reports ‘Variety’.

The photos in question appeared to showcase the actor — who was all but ousted from Hollywood after being hit with a series of sexual abuse allegations — working at a hotel resort in the Cayman Islands.
Initially, a flyer made the rounds on social media stating that Hammer was working as a hotel concierge. The hotel told various media outlets, including Variety, that Hammer was not on their staff. But then photos were published of Hammer appearing to be dressed in uniform, working at the resort.
Now, a source tells Variety that Hammer is indeed working selling timeshares at a hotel in the Caymans, and that all other reports suggesting otherwise are inaccurate.

Ricky Martin’s former talent manager has issued a stark warning to the Grammy winner and Emmy nominee: pay up or reap the whirlwind. Specifically, in “excess of Usd 3,000,000, or according to proof, and unpaid commissions are accruing on an ongoing basis,” reads a complaint filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court by Rebeeca Drucker against The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story star.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Writer Placed on Leave as Disney Launches Investigation Into Medical History Claims
Disney Television Studios has launched an investigation into “Grey’s Anatomy” writer Elisabeth Finch, following questions about personal stories and essays she has written and shared in the past, Variety has confirmed.
As first reported by the Ankler, Finch has been put on administrative leave as the studio looks into whether she exaggerated certain aspects of her life, particularly her medical history. Some of Finch’s ailments, which includes a rare form of bone cancer, the loss of part of her leg and knee replacement surgery, were said to have later inspired storylines on “Grey’s Anatomy.”

Ghislaine Maxwell is guilty. Is Prince Andrew next? On Wednesday, a jury convicted Maxwell — the British socialite and longtime associate of disgraced billionaire Jeffrey Epstein — of five of six charges related to sex trafficking. Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer forged a close friendship during the making of their Oscar-winning romance drama “Call Me By Your Name,” which is why Time magazine tried to get a comment out of Chalamet regarding the rape allegation Hammer is facing. A woman identified as Effie came forward in a March press conference to accuse Hammer of rape. The woman said the alleged sexual assault took place in April 2017 during an encounter with Hammer, adding the actor “violently raped” her and repeatedly banged her head against a wall. Effie added that Hammer committed other “violent acts” against her without her consent.
