For over a decade, Naked and Afraid has challenged people to survive in some of the harshest conditions on earth. The Discovery Channel reality series has aired nearly 200 episodes since it debuted in 2013.
Hundreds of survivalists have competed on Naked and Afraid, with some going on to appear multiple times and cement their status as N&a legends. Others may have only appeared once or twice, but their outrageous behavior still made a major impression. So what happens after their time on the show comes to an end? Here’s where some of the most memorable Naked and Afraid cast members are today.

Earlier this year, Discovery Channel introduced a major twist to its long-running reality series Naked and Afraid. The new spinoff Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing pitted 12 experienced survivalists against each other in a 45-day, multiphase challenge. Adding an element of competition – and a $100,000 prize – to Naked and Afraid didn’t go over well with everyone. But the show was a hit with viewers. So, will the show return for another season? Here’s what we know.

Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing will return to Discovery Channel for season 2. The network announced the renewal in mid-July, ahead of the season 1 finale, which saw Waz Addy go home with the six-figure prize.

Contestants on the long-running reality series Survivor do whatever it takes to win the $1 million prize. Alone cast members venture into the wilderness with minimal supplies for a chance to go home with $500,000. But for Naked and Afraid participants, going on the long-running Discovery Channel survival show is all about the bragging rights.
Do ‘Naked and Afraid’ contestants win money? Matt Wright and Steven Lee Hall Jr. in ‘Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’ | Discovery
Unlike many other reality shows, Naked and Afraid survivalists don’t sign up for the promise of a big payday. Those who manage to complete the show’s grueling 21-day survival challenge don’t win any prize money. The reward is simply knowing that you’ve been able to last for three weeks in the wild with no clothes or food, and only limited supplies (such as a knife or cooking pot).

Will these castaways survive the island? In Discovery Channel’s latest spinoff of its hit reality series Naked and Afraid, nine former cast members are marooned on a deserted island in the middle of the ocean. With no tools and no maps, they’ll have to rely solely on what they find in the surrounding environment to survive 21 days and make it to the extraction point. But where exactly is this supposedly uninhabited island? Here’s what we know about the Naked and Afraid: Castaways filming location.

Jeff Zausch may not have won Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing. But that hasn’t stopped him from criticizing the other cast members on the Discovery Channel reality series. The Idaho survivalist feels that many of the other people on the Naked and Afraid spinoff didn’t approach the game with the right mindset, which ruined the competition.
Jeff Zausch was playing to win on the ‘Naked and Afraid’ spinoff
Jeff entered the first-ever true Naked and Afraid competition with one goal in mind: to triumph over the other players and take home the $100,000 prize. So when he arrived in South Africa’s punishing Oribi Gorge for the 45-day challenge, he was stunned to discover that the rest of the cast had a different attitude.
Jeff focused on gathering as many of the producer-planted caches as he could so he could keep them out of the hands of the other players.

Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’s competition format may not have been popular with all the show’s contestants, but it was a hit with viewers. Discovery Channel’s spinoff of its popular reality series Naked and Afraid is the network’s highest-rated series so far in 2023, according to Deadline, attracting more than 15 million total viewers since its premiere in early May.
Unsurprisingly, Discovery has renewed the survival series – which pits 12 all-star cast members against each other in a race for a $100,000 grand prize – for season 2. So far, there’s no word on a possible premiere date or cast. But one controversial season 1 star is eager for a shot at redemption.

What a finish. The toughest Naked and Afraid challenge yet came to an end on July 16. The nail-biting season finale of the Discovery Channel reality series saw the remaining five survivalists in a brutal race to the final extraction point. The one who finished the competition first would walk away with a perfect 10 Psr rating – and $100,000. So, who emerged victorious?

Two survivalists tap out in the ‘Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’ finale
Out of the 12 survivalists who embarked on the Last One Standing challenge more than a month ago, just five remained when the finale began: Jeff Zausch, Dan Link, Waz Addy, Steven Lee Hall Jr., and Gary Golding. All are skilled survivalists with multiple Naked and Afraid challenges under their belts. But each one seriously struggled with the finale’s first elimination challenge, which required them to make a primitive fire and then boil a pot of water.

Naked and Afraid’s toughest challenge yet is drawing to a close. Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing switched up the format of the long-running survival reality show, pitting 12 all-star survivalists against each other in a no-holds-barred fight to the finish. The person who makes it to the end walks away with a $100,000 grand prize – a first for the show. So, who will emerge victorious? Fans will soon find out.
The ‘Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’ finale airs July 16
There’s just one episode left in Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing. In the July 9 installment, the remaining six survivalists were whittled down to just five. Matt Wright – who’s lasted a total of 215 days on previous Naked and Afraid challenges – started the episode with a nasty leg injury that only got worse as things progressed. He came in last on a water-carrying elimination challenge, knocking him out of the competition.

The tension is ratcheting up on Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing. The Discovery Channel survival reality series pits 12 of the top competitors from past seasons of the show against each other. At stake? A $100,000 grand prize.
With some serious cash at stake and a whole new set of rules governing the game, this is a Naked and Afraid experience like no other. While most players have banded together to increase their odds of survival, at least in the early stages of the game, one participant has enthusiastically embraced the “last one standing” aspect of the contest. Jeff Zausch has made it clear from day one that his goal is to triumph over the other players, whatever it takes. If that means hoarding resources and refusing to share, so be it.
“The war has officially started!” Jeff wrote in reply to a comment on his Facebook page on June 11.

Naked and Afraid is a reality show like none other. The Discovery Channel series drops pairs of people into remote locations and leaves them to fend for themselves – without food, water, or clothing. With just one survival tool each (such as a machete or fire starter), they’re challenged to last 21 days in the wild.
Unsurprisingly, many people don’t make it the full three weeks. Medical crises, loneliness, and hunger have all prompted people to tap out early. But thankfully, no person’s Naked and Afraid journey has been cut short for the most serious reason of all: death.

Naked and Afraid cast members are put into some serious, and potentially dangerous, situations. Over 15 seasons participants have dealt with tropical illnesses, infected wounds, hypothermia, and more. But no one has ever died on Naked and Afraid.

Jeff Zausch is playing for keeps. The veteran Naked and Afraid participant is one of 12 survivalists fighting to take home a $100,000 prize on the Discovery Channel reality series Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing. His aggressive approach to the competition hasn’t won him many fans among his fellow castmates, but he doesn’t care. His goal is to walk away the big winner, not make friends, he said in a recent social media post.

Exclusive: Bobby Bones-fronted social experiment Snake In The Grass won’t be returning to USA Network.
The NBCUniversal cable network has cancelled the reality series after one season.
It comes after the broadcaster renewed Blake Shelton and Carson Daly’s Barmageddon for a second season after it became its best series premiere in nearly three years.
Snake In The Grass and Barmageddon were both part of USA Network’s latest unscripted slate, which was unveiled last May. The slate also included Race To Survive Alaska, from Deadliest Catch producer Original Productions, which is launching in April.
Snake in the Grass saw groups of four strangers who are dropped into the wild with a chance to win $100,000. In order to win, the team had to figure out which one of them is the Snake – a saboteur who is secretly undermining the group every step of the way.

The new series hosted by Bobby Bones sees four brave souls from different walks of life putting themselves to the test in each episode. They not only have to overcome challenges and endure the elements in the Central American jungle. The foursome must do this knowing a saboteur is among them to prevent the group from succeeding. You know Discovery's "Naked and Afraid," now in its fourth season, is a success not just because it's been renewed, but also because of all the knock-off shows that are popping up. There's everything from VH1's ridiculous "Dating Naked" to this summer's "The Island with Bear Grylls," which is like "Naked and Afraid" except without the nudity. On the series, two people spend 21 days in a remote location, without clothing or other supplies--except one survival item each, such as a flint or machete. That's often dramatic, thanks to the effects of the environment and elements, never mind the survivalists' emotional state, which often deteriorates. Why do people strip naked and suffer for no prize? While the survivalists receive an appearance fee, it's nothing like the $1 million prize for winning "Survivor." So why do it? One cast member, Jeff Zausch, told TV critics last summer, "That's really the first question we get from everybody,...
