Martin Freeman made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War as bureaucrat Everett Ross, a guy who really seemed to have it in for Bucky Barnes. Perhaps that’s what’s prompted him to journey to Wakanda (that is, Atlanta). Freeman was photographed on the set of Black Panther over the weekend, and since he was accompanied by an umbrella holder, we assume he wasn’t just there to gawk at lead cast members Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, and Forest Whitaker.
Ross’ comics backstory has a much stronger connection to T’Challa. Not only did he serve as a diplomatic liaison to the prince, but he also dated someone who dated the Black Panther when he was in his Luke Charles guise. But even if he doesn’t find himself in that capacity, Ross could end up in Wakanda while on...

The new Black Panther film will feature T'Challa's time in America in the 1990s. In the comics, Prince T'Challa was educated in America and went under the alias Luke Charles in his time there. Cbm writes that Marvel has obtained permission from AC Transit public transportation agency in Oakland, California to use their '90s logo in a flashback for the film. This essentially means T'Challa is getting on a bus at some point in this film!
While it's not exactly groundbreaking news that the first film on this hero will be exploring his origins, it's nice to know we will see a couple different locales in the film! I'm very curious about just how much of America we will see in this film, and I'm also very interested to see the world of Wakanda fully fleshed out in the McU.

After making his debut in Captain America: Civil War last year, Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther will receive his own solo outing in a star-studded movie set to be released next year. Shooting begins in Atlanta soon, and while we obviously already know how T'Challa took on that mantle, the film will delve even further into his past. That's confirmed in a very interesting report from the East Bay Times. Apparently, the Oakland, California-based AC Transit public transportation agency has given Marvel Studios permission to use its 1990s era logo in Black Panther. The newspaper goes on to mention that it's going to be used in a flashback to the time T'Challa spent in Saint Mary's College High School. That's obviously going to lead to the young price boarding an AC Transit bus, and fans of the source material will no doubt already be well aware that T'Challa actually travelled...
