Catherine Kelleher is a writer/director based in Sydney. She spent her formative years as electronic pop artist Catcall, releasing her debut album The Warmest Place in 2012 via Ivy League Records. In 2013, Catherine moved into film and television, co-creating web series The Casuals, and working as a producer's assistant, script coordinator, and a writers' room note taker. Her debut short film Big Bad World (2016), starring Geraldine Viswanathan, screened at several local and international film festivals including the Brooklyn Film Festival and St Kilda Film Festival. Her second short film IMOAN (2023) screened at Outfest LA, SXSW Sydney, Brisbane International Film Festival, Mardi Gras Film Festival and was nominated for an Australian Writers' Guild AWGIE Award. Catherine's drama pilot was a finalist in the ATX Festival pitch competition, a top 10 finalist in the Final Draft Big Break competition and in 2020 was selected for the Imagine Impact Australia program. Catherine worked in development at Lingo Pictures (Upright, Prosper, The Secrets She Keeps) before working as the scripted development executive at SBS across Safe Home, Erotic Stories, While the Men Are Away, Swift Street and Four Years Later and Digital Originals series Latecomers, Appetite and Night Bloomers.
