Richard Bills(II)
- Actor
Richard was born in Germany in 2000 while his dad was stationed there
serving the the U.S. military. After moving back to the U.S., he lived
in Missouri and then Louisiana, which is where he got his start in
theater. He comes from a very musical family that loves the theater.
Both of his parents play an instrument, as does his older sister. His
maternal grandmother and older brother play many instruments, as well
as sing. And his little brother and sister are showing promise for
singing, as well. He grew up watching "My Fair Lady", "Newsies",
"Doctor Doolittle", "The Wizard of Oz", "The Sound of Music", "The
Music Man", "The King and I", and other such movies, as well as any
Disney movie he could get into the DVD player. This love of music and
theater has opened many doors for him. He has been in a number of
community plays around Shreveport, LA. He has also been a background
extra on the TV show "Salem" as Mary's brother in flashback scenes. He
enjoys all his roles, but his favorite (so far) was playing Jerome in
South Pacific with the Caddo Magnet Players. He loves being on stage,
especially with his older brother. Their first stage show together was
My Son Pinocchio with Stage Center, performed at the Emmett Hook
Center. They will be performing together one last time this summer
(2014) in Shrek the Musical at Shreveport Little Theater before his
brother goes off to college in L.A.
