Michael Allan Galvez
Michael Allan Galvez is a director from the Philippines based in the NY Metro area. He was the inaugural holder of Florida Studio Theatre's Directing Internship and a graduate of Stetson University's BA in English and Theatre Arts programs. Michael's work has received praise from audiences and visiting notables alike such as Dr. Mark J. Charney, Associate Director of the National Critics Institute for the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, and 2015 PEN/Laura Pels award-winning playwright Jennifer Blackmer.
Aside from directing, Michael also has experience in marketing, administration and casting. Two seasons at Endsation Theatre Company had him rise from apprentice to manager. His work at Florida Repertory Theatre had him see the Marketing Department through a management changeover and spearhead the website redesign of the Education Department. His photographs could be found in Smithsonian Institute archives and on magazine covers and newspapers along Southwest Florida.
Outside of the theatre, Michael has been involved with several nonprofits, once becoming a part of a delegation that lobbied Congress for affordable housing initiatives during the Obama administration.
