DC Comics' "Fire and Ice: Welcome to Smallville", available November 2023, is written by Joanne Starer and illustrated by Natacha Bustos. with covers by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson:
"...things could not possibly be worse for 'Fire and Ice'. 'Superman' sent the former 'Justice Leaguers' packing for 'Smallville' following an extremely public and utterly disastrous mission, that was all the fault of 'Guy Gardner' and in doing so doomed them to a fate worse than death: irrelevance.
"Now 'Ice' finds herself drawn to the quiet life and dreams of planting roots. But 'Fire'…well, Fire will do just about anything to get the heck outta Dodge and back on the hero circuit—including challenging the Dcu’s biggest villains to a knock-down, drag-out, live-streamed brawl in the streets of Smallville..."

Recent Sales Success
I had the recent fortune of some puzzle pieces all falling into place at the same time. It only resulted in me selling one comic but I think the turn of events involved was worth documenting. It all started the morning after the Superbowl. I had the day off as it was my birthday and I awoke to see the words Doctor Strange, Illuminati and Professor Xavier all trending online! Of course, the first thing I did was to watch the new trailer and like a lot of people I was blown away. I am really looking forward to this movie. It’s amazing to think how they are still trying and succeeding at keeping things fresh and exciting after Endgame. I slept on Spider-Man No Way Home and just never got around to seeing it. I enjoyed the first Doctor Strange movie and am looking forward...

Get your first look at Wonder Woman #75 right here!
There are two things I really dig about Wonder Woman #75. The first is the art. Specifically, Xermanico's work on the big double-page splashes. You'll see one in the preview below that DC sent over, but they persist throughout the issue.
Many great Wonder Woman artists have used the technique of illuminating the gutters with ancient Greek-looking artwork. It's a trick that adds atmosphere to a book, which is so important to the comic reading experience. It's so easy to go from one-word balloon to the next and not slow down to take in the totality of the story the page is trying to tell. Things like illuminated page gutters or quirky panel flow help pull readers out of that literal reading of a comic to make sure you're appreciating the full scope of the work.
The second isn't in the preview.

Lex Luthor is leading the charge in DC's Year of the Villain, and Justice League reveals his new look.
We are living through a little bit of a Martian Manhunter renaissance right now. On the one hand, you’ve got Steve Orlando and Riley Rossmo’s terrific “Year One”-esque take on J’onn’s time on Mars and how that shaped the man he is today in his solo miniseries, Martian Manhunter. It’s a weird, fascinating story about Martian life that, of course, looks incredible as is to be expected from Rossmo’s art.
On the other hand, you have Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV’s Justice League. It’s approaching him kind of like the Timmverse/DC Animated Universe did: he’s quietly the most important person on the team. In the cartoon, he was rarely the focus - it was always about John and Shayera’s relationship,...

It's the biggest team up you can imagine when Wonder Woman and Giganta get together.
For most comic books, the biggest draw for a comic book is the title character or team, with the writer and penciller being close behind in driving readers to a book - Batman is usually going to sell a bunch regardless of who's working on it, whereas Conan isn't going to move anyone's needle without someone of Jason Aaron's caliber working on it. So please understand that I recognize how out of the ordinary what I'm about to say is:
You should read Wonder Woman #66 for Mick Gray's inks and Romulo Fajardo's colors.
The two job titles are moving in different directions in today's comics industry. We've been known to get on one about colorists in the past, so it's probably no surprise that we're big fans of the work Romulo...

Frank Castle may be this slick, overly-competent killer of bad guys, but even he gets embarrassed from time to time.
Even though The Punisher is now the star of his own Netflix series, let's not forget that Frank Castle has been building bodycounts for over forty years. He’s starred in many fantastic storylines and has become one of the more iconic heroes in Marvel history.
He’s had several movies, a handful of video games (including one of the best arcade brawlers ever), cartoon appearances, and more. He’s taken up the mantle of Captain America, been a black man, became an angel, became a Frankenstein, befriended Archie Andrews, and even killed Gwar.
Okay, they were called “Warg,” but same thing.
The thing every Punisher writer – especially Garth Ennis – always has to push is how unflappable and badass Frank is. He’s the coolest guy ever...
