The series, which follows a bucolic but cash-strapped ranch that’s operated by a widowed parent (Travis) who loses a beloved family member, was recently canceled by Hallmark.
The CW will begin airing the series on Monday, January 22, followed by an encore episode of the new original scripted series Wild Cards.
The network has no plans to order a second season of Ride, at least for now.
Travis plays matriarch Isabel Murray; the drama also stars Beau Mirchoff (Good Trouble), Jake Foy (Designated Survivor) and Marcus Rosner (Arrow) as her sons Cash, Tuff and Austin. Tiera Skovbye plays Austin’s wife, Missy. The first season launched in March on Hallmark.

Ride was one of two new scripted series to premiere on Hallmark in 2023. (The other is the time-travel drama The Way Home.) It debuted in March 2023; the season finale aired in May.
In contrast to The Way Home, which Hallmark renewed mid-way through its first season, Ride languished in limbo after its dramatic season 1 finale. Now, Vulture reports that the network has quietly decided not to move forward with Ride Season 2.

It's been an interesting year for Hallmark with the premieres of The Way Home and Ride and countless feel-good movies.
Despite initially touting Ride as a success story, the cabler has quietly opted to part ways with the rodeo family drama.
Ride tells the story of a multigenerational family ensemble and follows the lives of the McMurrays, part of a rodeo dynasty going back a generation, as they struggle to keep their beloved ranch afloat.
"After a tragic loss, each character embarks on an empowering journey of transformation and self-discovery while also uncovering a twisted web of secrets, threatening to tear the family and their small Colorado town apart at the seams," Hallmark teased in anticipation of the series debut.
Ride also had a decent cast that came from TV Fanatic fan-favorite series, so there was every indication it would be a success story.

Stars: Jim Gordon, Jake Foy, Chrissy Cavallo, Nick Twist, Ilene Sullivan, John Evans | Written and Directed by Anthony Catanese
Prior to an impending golf tournament, a struggling golf course is beset by a string of caddy murders from pesticide-mutated gophers. The latest film from writer/director Anthony Catanese crosses Caddyshack with a monster movie, intending for a horror flick that will leave viewers laughing yet instead feels created title-first and worked backwards.
Intending to keep his golf course running by covering up the carnage is owner Wells Landon (Jim Gordon), who is an evident stand-in for Trump. As he talks about his tiny hands, wears an awful wig, and lusts after a young female relative, this is a very heavy-handed inclusion. Between bullied caddie Googie (Jake Foy) and dim-witted groundskeeper Hambone (Nick Twist), nobody on-screen resembles an actual person, although calling them cartoons would be insulting to an already undervalued medium.

2023 marks the forty-third anniversary of the release of the comedy classic Caddyshack, which starred Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase, and Bill Murray as characters who spend a lot of time at a country club that has a bit of a gopher problem. The mischievous, dancing gopher (and Chase) returned for a less-well-regarded sequel eight years later… and now writer/director Anthony Catanese is putting a horror twist on the concept with Caddy Hack! "I can't have my members playing through a dead caddy!" These pesky little critters! Wild Eye Releasing has unveiled an official trailer for Caddy Hack - a wacky, super low budget horror comedy creation from filmmaker Anthony Catanese. It's premiering at Kevin Smith's Smodcastle theater in Atlantic Highlands, NJ this August before a direct-to-vod release in the fall. This is described as a mash-up between Caddyshack and Gremlins, which sounds like good fun. The film follows a struggling golf course that suffers a string of caddy murders at the paws of pesticide-mutated gofers, while the greedy owner of the facility tries to cover up the carnage and an unhinged groundkeeper wages all-out war on the vicious little vermin. Starring Jim Gordon, Jake Foy, Chrissy Cavallo, Nick Twist, Ilene Sullivan, and John Evans. Yeah, this looks so ridiculous and cheap and hilariously dumb that it might be crazy fun to watch.

Jake Foy plays the charming and dependable Tuff McMurray on Hallmark's Ride. He plays a sexy cowboy and the co-foreman of McMurray Ranch. He's the glue of the family, and he's often the family member protecting others.
Tuff has spent so much time helping his mom save the ranch and helping Cash and Valeria that he hasn't devoted enough time to his singing career or his blossoming relationship with his new boyfriend, Julian.
TV Fanatic with Jake about Tuff's personal dreams, how Tuff was coping with the family drama, and some teasers for the finale and a potential Season 2. Check it out below:
Hi Jake. Tuff has become one of our favorite characters on Ride. What have been some of your favorite moments of the series?
I love it whenever we're taking the dirt road relics on stage in the show. It means that everybody is together on those days.

Sara Garcia portrays Valeria Galindo, Missy McMurray's best friend and one of the most interesting characters on Hallmark's Ride.
TV Fanatic chatted with Sara about Valeria's past secrets, her close relationship with Isobel, and if Valeria's secrets will hurt the McMurrays.
Check out the interview below:
Hi Sara. I love Valeria. She's become one of my favorite characters on Ride. What are some of your favorite things about playing her?
There are so many things. First of all, she seems to be good at everything. She has many skills, and they show up throughout the season. In Ride Season 1 Episode 4, we saw her as an expert poker player. Since she has many skills, I learned more skills.
I learned how to play poker from a professional. I got to learn how to shuffle cards professionally. That was fun.

It looks like Hallmark Channel is trying to catch some of that Yellowstone fever with the series premiere of its new rodeo family drama Ride.

Spoiler Alert! This story reveals plot point from the March 26 series premiere of Ride on Hallmark.
It takes place on a bucolic but cash-strapped ranch that’s operated by a widowed parent who loses a beloved family member in the premiere episode — all while everyone looks straight-up sexy in their Wranglers and cowboy boots.
But that’s where the similarities to Yellowstone end for Hallmark’s Ride, insists Sherri Cooper-Landsman, who showruns the new drama about a rodeo dynasty with Rebecca Boss and Chris Masi (Our Kind of People).
“For me, it was just this beautiful ranch setting with a family going through stuff that a family goes through,” Cooper-Landsman tells Deadline of Ride. “And to be honest, I hadn’t even watched Yellowstone, so I did not even think about that. It just was this beautiful setting and a worlds that Becky [Rebecca] really knew so well.
