James Mangold has had an interesting filmography over the years venturing in various genres and not typecasting himself to a certain type of filmmaker. Films like Girl Interrupted, Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma, Logan, and Ford v Ferrari proved that Mangold could competently handle various genres with great relatability and emotional heft.
James Mangold most recently directed Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny
Mangold continued venturing into blockbuster studio filmmaking with 2023’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny which did not fare well. He is set to direct an upcoming Star Wars film and franchise producer Simon Emanuel seemingly revealed the film’s title. Ironically, the title has a striking resemblance to an important element of Dune, adding to the discourse of Star Wars being a Dune rip-off.

Over the course of "Star Wars," "The Empire Strikes Back," and "Return of the Jedi," the masked character of Boba Fett only has four lines of dialogue and six and a half minutes of screentime. Add in "The Star Wars Holiday Special," and the character suddenly had 20 additional lines. Either way, he was not a major player in "Star Wars," and ultimately fell into the mouth of a Shai Hulud on Arrakis a Sarlacc on Tattooine. It wasn't until the decade-and-a-half following the release of 1983's "Jedi" that Boba Fett would come to be admired by Starwoids who watched the "Star Wars" movies dozens of times each. In the "Star Wars" prequel films released from 1999 to 2005, Boba Fett was given a mythic backstory, and in 2021, he became the star of his own TV series.

If you thought The Phantom Menace was bad, A Disturbance in the Force uncovers what went on to allow such a cultural monstrosity to exist
If there is an event more synonymous with the folly of man than the Star Wars Holiday Special then no one has yet discovered it. The two-hour, 1978 TV show, which sent Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford’s Han Solo and Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia to Kashyyyk (the home planet of the Wookiees) for something called “Life Day” is notoriously one of the most execrable pieces of entertainment ever committed to film. It has never been re-broadcast, and George Lucas once said he would have personally destroyed each and every bootleg copy if given the chance.
The costumes are cheap, the makeup even cheaper (Hamill has so much caked on he might as well have just stepped off the stage after playing a...

Most actors want to do their own stunts. Sometimes it's an ego thing, sometimes it's because they want moviegoers to see their face during a wild stunt to help with audience emersion, and sometimes it's a combination of the two. The younger the actor is, the more they're likely to push to do as much on camera as possible, and that was certainly the case for Mark Hamill when he was making what, at the time, was thought to be the final "Star Wars" movie to feature Luke Skywalker, "Return of the Jedi."
During an interview for John Phillip Peecher's "Star Wars -- The Making Of Return Of The Jedi" in 1983, director Richard Marquand revealed there were two notable moments during production when he forced a stunt double to take Hamill's place. One of them was during the shoot in the desert near Yuma, Arizona, for the scene where Luke...

Despite the fact Geralt is the accepted protagonist of the franchise, The Witcher Season 3 Episode 7 shifts the focus nearly entirely to Cirilla, the Lion Cub of Cintra.
Ciri's power is understood to be the key to multiple schemes and power plays, but as she struggles to control it, she faces opposition from both kings and mages and her own subconscious.
Her Elder Blood takes those standard fears of abandonment and insecurities and turns them into real nightmares. Of course, the poisonous desert lizard she snacks on probably doesn't help.
Falka's presence is an exciting twist. She appears to be an entity independent of Ciri's subconscious, bent on unleashing Ciri's powers upon the world in an anarchistic purge of the old system.
She combines the fire magic of Rience with the predatory calculations of Voleth Meir.

Longtime Star Wars fans know the story by now: Harrison Ford believed Han Solo had reached the end of the line by 1983. Frozen in carbonite in The Empire Strikes Back and shipped off to Jabba the Hutt, the lovable scoundrel’s fate was certainly in question leading into Return of the Jedi. And Ford was convinced that the right thing to do was to kill off the smuggler for good.
“I thought Han Solo should die. I thought he ought to sacrifice himself for [Luke and Leia],” Ford explained in the 2004 making-of documentary Empire of Dreams. “He’s got no mama. He’s got no papa. He’s got no future. He has no story responsibilities at this point. So let’s allow him to commit self-sacrifice.”
The actor echoed as much during an appearance on Conan (via Cinemablend) in 2015, suggesting that a self-sacrifice would show how much Han had changed from...

The opening act of Richard Marquand's 1983 sci-fantasy epic "Return of the Jedi," a film set in the universe of the animated series "Droids," takes place on the desert planet of Tatooine. While there, the stalwart heroes Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), and Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams), sneak into the criminal palace of the evil crime lord Jabba the Hutt to rescue their imprisoned friend, Han Solo (Harrison Ford). Their plan isn't entirely clear, sadly, and they are all eventually caught. This leads to a scene out in the desert where Jabba forces them to walk the plank into the waiting open mouth of an enormous desert creature called a Sarlacc. Thanks to their fighting acumen, our heroes kill off the bad guys, escape in a jet, and blow up Jabba's desert barge for good measure.

Coke versus Pepsi, Ali versus Holyfield, cats versus dogs, yin versus yang, the Red Sox versus the Yankees, vampires vs werewolves (or should that be ‘swearwolves?), Mac or PC, the Beatles versus The Rolling Stones. Just a few examples of some of the most fierce rivalries of our time but none of the aforementioned rumbles come close to the eternal battle that began a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away – Star Wars vs Star Trek. Both franchises have had their fair share of high, and low points over the years, and the fanbase for each are as passionate as a Wookie who’s about to lose a game of Dejarik.
The lasting legacy of both franchises continues to go full steam ahead, albeit mainly on the small-ish screen with various spin-offs and longer form series dominating the studios’ streaming services. While the Star Wars classic trilogy still...

This Star Wars article contains spoilers for The Mandalorian.
Even though Boba Fett was presumed dead after falling into the Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi, The Mandalorian found a way to bring him back with Jango Fett actor Temuera Morrison now playing the role. What started out as a guest appearance in season 2 ultimately led to Boba Fett getting his own spinoff show, The Book of Boba Fett, which showed both how he escaped the Sarlacc and his rise to power on Tatooine.
Boba has become an important character in this era of the Star Wars timeline, unofficially dubbed the “Mandoverse,” and one of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu’s most valuable allies. So why didn’t Morrison return for The Mandalorian season 3?
During a Q&a at the Supanova Comic Con and Gaming convention in Melbourne, Australia (via The Direct), Morrison speculated that his absence could...

“The Book of Boba Fett” hit Disney+ last year, but most of the conversation about the “Star Wars” spinoff series was around a supporting character who showed up towards the end of the show (season?): Pedro Pascal’s The Mandalorian.
We haven’t had a new episode of “The Mandalorian” since way back in December 2020, when Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) showed up to spirit away young Baby Yoda aka Grogu. What happened to the adorable little creature? And how has the Mandalorian himself been dealing with the loss of his charge? Well, as it turns out, this was all revealed in a few “The Book of Boba Fett” episodes, and if you want to catch up before “The Mandalorian” Season 3, here’s how.

The world's favorite "Star Wars" duo is set to return for round three of adventures in a galaxy far, far away, as "The Mandalorian" season 3 is upon us. Mando and Grogu will be returning to Disney+ after a pretty long hiatus, given that the show's second season aired its finale well over two years ago at this point. Fans may be in need of a little refresher ahead of Mando's return, and we're here to help with precisely that.
For those who perhaps don't have time to watch two (technically three) full seasons of television again in just a few days' time, we're going to go over absolutely everything you need to know and/or remember ahead of "The Mandalorian" season 3. On the off chance you're not fully caught up, now would be the time to turn back as we are going to get into heavy spoilers here so you,...

As the middle chapter of George Lucas' original "Star Wars" trilogy (the "Ot"), "The Empire Strikes Back" was designed to leave moviegoers wanting more. Unlike the first movie, the sequel paid homage to the serialized cliffhanger style of storytelling that inspired the saga -- but quite unlike those Saturday matinee serials, the next installment wasn't a week away. When viewers walked out of "Episode V," they were facing a three-year wait for the trilogy's resolution.
And many of them were steamed.
Lucas played particularly rough with his newfound fanbase in "Empire." Darth Vader dished out a lightsaber whuppin' to the saga's Jedi-in-training protagonist, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), slashing off the youngster's hand and informing him that he is, in fact, his father. But Luke got off relatively easy compared to Harrison Ford's Han Solo. The interstellar rogue got placed in suspended animation via carbonite, and was ferried back to...

The last three episodes of “Andor” featured a prison without bars, but part of both the thrill and the pathos of the latest “Star Wars” series is that Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) has felt like a captive of the Empire the entire time. Everyone in “Andor” is trapped, often visually through the sculpted, strong lines of Luke Hull’s incredible production design, and always through the eye of the camera, helmed in the first three episodes and Episodes 8 through 10 by director Toby Haynes.

A huge slate of Disney+ releases suggests the franchise is retreating from the multiplex – but a Mandalorian movie may prove the theory wrong
Students of film history will be well aware that before 1977, and the release of Star Wars, the modern summer blockbuster was very much in its infancy. It could be argued that Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, released two years earlier, was the first film to really get those queues snaking round the block, but the first instalment in George Lucas’s long-running space opera triggered Hollywood’s love affair with mass same-day openings, high-octane marketing and the sense of a major movie “event” happening across the globe.
How strange, then, that there is no Star Wars movie currently in production and no real date for when we will next get to see the saga in multiplexes. Disney’s sequel trilogy and the associated nine-film “Skywalker Saga” is complete,...

Sung Kang ditches the fast and furious lifestyle for his directorial debut Shaky Shivers — a delightful gateway horror treat that recalls the Goosebumps television show or Are You Afraid of the Dark. Its Young Adult vibes bring two girls face to face with werewolf curses, zombification, and friendly ice cream parlor wholesomeness. Some might see the "gateway" description and wince, but that's not meant as a zinger — Shaky Shivers is filled with giggles and quirky horror introductions that make the genre accessible to all audiences. There's something Nickelodeon After Midnight about it all, as Kang turns a low-budget buddy comedy with teeth into a sweet tale about friendship, brainfreeze, and choosing our destinies over giving up to lesser fates.

Note: Contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett, and is written assuming you’ve watched the whole thing.
Now the dust has settled on the Book of Boba Fett, its last episode retreating into the distance like Mando’s souped-up Naboo fighter, Grogu’s ears flapping in the wind, we can look back on the series as a whole piece. It’s our opportunity to see how it all fitted together; to tease out its core ideas, unpack its themes, appreciate it as a wider piece of work within a wider piece of work and finally, ask ourselves … what the hell was that?
It’s painful to hate on Star Wars. Anything that puts you on the same side as the dudebro mob that so pathetically whaled on The Last Jedi (which was brilliant) can make you feel like you need a very hot shower and a very stiff scrubbing brush.

This Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett review contains spoilers.
With Tatooine and Boba’s soul on the line, the finale of The Book of Boba Fett had a lot to do. Not only did “In the Name of Honor” need to settle the score between Boba Fett, the Pyke Syndicate, and Cad Bane but it also had a bit of The Mandalorian baggage to carry. Would Grogu choose to stay with Luke Skywalker and complete his Jedi training or would he reunite with Din Djarin and follow the path of the Mandalorians?
In the end, the daimyo of Mos Espa was victorious, with Cad Bane defeated in a duel, and Grogu came zipping back to Tatooine on Luke’s X-wing, finally ending speculation about whether we’d ever see our dynamic bounty hunting duo together again. But The Book of Boba Fett still leaves a few loose ends.

The Book of Boba Fett picks up the threads of the bounty hunter’s untold adventures in the years after Return of the Jedi, paving a new, unexpected path for the fan-favorite rogue. While most Star Wars fans expected the Mandalorian gunslinger to once again embrace a life of crime, no one could have predicted Boba’s big career change from bounty hunter to Tatooine’s newest crime lord.
But this is actually a Boba Fett story decades in the making. After all, writers were already hard at work continuing the book of Boba just mere months after he took a tumble into the sarlacc pit in 1983. Many of those early stories took place in the pages of the classic Star Wars comics published by Marvel in the ’70s and ’80s. This Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett article contains spoilers.
The Book of Boba Fett kicked off with a few surprises, including answers to some of the biggest questions Star Wars fans had about the bounty hunter’s past. Yes, “Stranger in a Strange Land” finally reveals what happened to Boba Fett during the five years between Return of the Jedi and The Mandalorian season 2.
From the very first scene, we’re treated to flashbacks that pick up where Boba’s story left off in Return of the Jedi. Jabba the Hutt’s sail barge now lies as a ruin in the deserts of Tatooine while down below the bounty hunter is slowly digested by the monstrous sarlacc. In 1983, we were meant to think that the book of Boba Fett ended here, a gruesome outro for the galaxy’s most infamous scum.

Warning: The following contains spoilers about episode 1 of Disney+’s The Book of Boba Fett, “Stranger in a Strange Land.”
After 38 years, Star Wars fans finally learned how Boba Fett escaped the mouth of The Return of the Jedi‘s Sarlacc Pit.
And as intriguing as the scene was, Book of Boba Fett scribe Jon Favreau and Episode 1 director Robert Rodriguez could have taken more time with it. This bounty hunter certainly has grit and smarts when it comes to surviving the worst and near-death of circumstances, and his breakout from the Sarlacc Pit is just one of many instances in “Stranger in a Strange Land”. More time is devoted toward the middle of the episode to an electro-spear and fist fight which occurs after Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and his No. 2 Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) have with some mysterious assassins after they’ve been jumped in pure daylight in the Mos Espa streets.

The live-action Star Wars series’ first episode, titled “Stranger in a Strange Land,” opened in the “present,” with Boba (played by Temuera Morrison) doing his daily immersion in a healing tank inside what was once Jabba’s palace. But as he will later share with Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), “the dreams are back” — meaning, the memories of his past.

When Boba Fett made his long-awaited return in "The Mandalorian" season 2, it was an exciting if confusing development, given that he was last seen being munched down on by the Sarlacc in "Return of the Jedi." The old "Star Wars" Expanded Universe, aka Star Wars Legends, provided an explanation for Boba's miraculous escape from the Great Pit of Carkoon and explored what he got up in the years that came after, but those stories were erased from the official canon after Disney finalized its purchase of Lucasfilm in 2012. Thankfully, the fast-approaching "Mandalorian" spinoff, "The Book of...

"Left for dead... on the sands of Tatooine... I am Boba Fett." Disney / Lucasfilm have debuted yet another new 60-second trailer for the upcoming Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett, launching streaming on December 29th at the end of this month. This thrilling new sci-fi show finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett along with mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy's underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate... Temuera Morrison returns to star as Boba Fett, with a cast including Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand, and more to be revealed with each new episode. This is the best trailer yet! Seriously epic vibes with this one. And a fun reminder that, oh yeah that's right, Boba was left in the stomach of the Sarlacc on Tatooine for years during Rotj.

Star Wars and action figures have gone hand in hand since the very first Kenner figures were hastily solicited in advance in the infamous “Early Bird Set” carboard box back in 1977. Thus, the notion of figures for imminently-debuting Disney+ television show The Book of Boba Fett being unveiled for releases that purportedly won’t occur until late-2022 is hardly unconventional. However, the touted figure photos do provide an intriguing glimpse at everyone’s favorite Sarlacc-surviving bounty hunter in his new, color-popping solo series duds.

Boba Fett’s return last season on The Mandalorian finally confirmed an idea that was long-reflected across decades of Star Wars comics and novels, that being his escape from an alleged millennium of digestion within the belly of the dreaded Sarlacc. While clues were visible on Boba’s face, a full explanation about how he eluded that Return of the Jedi-dealt fate was not provided. Fortunately, it appears that imminent spinoff series The Book of Boba Fett is bringing the answers.
Temuera Morrison’s manifestation as Boba Fett fulfils a franchise destiny, with the actor having played the cloned character’s genetic template father, Jango Fett, in 2002 Star Wars Prequel Trilogy middle act Attack of the Clones, in which Daniel Logan played a child Boba. When everyone's favorite "Star Wars" bounty hunter, Boba Fett, made his long-awaited return in "The Mandalorian" season 2, the series gave no overt explanation for how he survived the almighty Sarlacc. The Sarlacc was the toothy creature, nested in a sandpit, that swallowed up Boba Fett on the desert planet of Tatooine in "Return of the Jedi." The fact that it lives in the so-called "Dune Sea" on Tatooine just goes to show how indebted "Star Wars" is to Frank Herbert's "Dune" and its sandworms, among other things.

Boba Fett’s signature Slave I ship has apparently lost its name in the official Star Wars canon, as indicated by Disney’s alleged recent request to the Lego company regarding a new toy rendition of the ship. Intriguingly, with the direction of merchandising—specifically toys—sometimes proving to be a leading indicator for imminent onscreen developments, it’s quite feasible that the revocation of the ship’s name might be confirmed onscreen on the bounty hunter’s upcoming Disney+ series, The Book of Boba Fett.

A lot went down in the season two finale of The Mandalorian, but it's what happened after the credits rolled that is really sparking some attention! Aptly titled "The Rescue," the final episode of the season followed Mando and company's battle to rescue Baby Yoda from Moff Gideon's dark clutches. The helmeted Mandalorian teamed up with Boba Fett, Bo-Katan, Koska Reeves, Cara Dune, and Fennec Shand, and although the team is able to save the Child, he bids goodbye to his pseudo father to be taught the ways of the Force by a young Luke Skywalker. Mando leaves with Bo-Katan and Koska to help in their quest to retake Mandalore, Cara takes Moff Gideon, and Boba heads out with Fennec. But that isn't the end of Boba and Fennec's adventures!

How Did Boba Fett Survive the Sarlacc Pit? Even ‘The Mandalorian’ Star Temuera Morrison Doesn’t Know
The second season of Disney+’s “The Mandalorian” has featured numerous appearances that have made 2020 a little more bearable for “Star Wars” fans. Last Friday was no exception, when Temuera Morrison made his grand (re)apperance as the bounty hunter Boba Fett, who seemingly met his fate in “Return of the Jedi” some 40 years ago.
The appearance of the galaxy’s most famous bounty hunter (sorry Mando) — teased a few times during the series’ short run so far — comes as the character was last seen being devoured by the Sarlacc, a giant desert-dwelling monster after falling into a pit during Luke Skywalker’s rescue of Han Solo and Princess Leia in the opening moments of “Return of the Jedi.”
And if you’re wondering just how Boba Fett managed to survive, you’re not alone. Morrison is wondering the same thing. During an interview with the New York Times about his return to the franchise,...

A lot of people think that the mysterious Jedi character in The Mandalorian season 2 could be none other than Mace Windu and now, a gorgeous new fan poster depicts what Samuel L. Jackson would look like as the hero almost 20 years after the events of Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.
Ahsoka Tano’s live-action debut in the show also teased the arrival of another character. A Jedi, to be precise. Indeed, when Snips tasked Mando with taking Baby Yoda to the planet Tython, she mentioned that a surviving member of the Order might come looking for him. And given that The Mandalorian takes place after the fall of the Galactic Empire, the only viable candidate would be Luke Skywalker. Though there’s some debate about whether Disney is really going to bring back the Last Jedi to play a part in the story of Din Djarin and Grogu.

After a wildly exciting episode which gave us the ass-kicking first live-action appearance of Ashoka Tano, this week’s edition of “The Mandalorian” was lighter on big reveals, but heavier on Mando’s parental stress levels.

A review of this week’s The Mandalorian, “The Tragedy,” coming up just as soon as we travel with the windows down…
There’s a famous line from the end of the classic John Ford film The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, where a newspaper editor responds to hearing the honest account of a Wild West myth by declaring, “When the legend becomes fact, print the legend.” What people really want, he’s arguing, is a good story more than the truth, and he aims to keep giving the people what they want.

The Mandalorian has proven to be so successful for Disney and its streaming platform that the company is now supposedly exploring the viability of developing several spinoffs. There’s a joke to be made here, we’re sure, considering that Din Djarin’s story is itself an offshoot of the main Star Wars film franchise, but the House of Mouse seemingly isn’t fazed in the slightest.
As folks who’ve been following along with Mando’s second season will no doubt know, Boba Fett is shown to be very much alive following his apparent death by Sarlacc in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Played by Temeura Morrison, Jango Fett’s unaltered clone is briefly depicted watching the titular hero from afar in Chapter 9, though hasn’t been spotted since. The Mandalorian is known for its fun Star Wars references and the second seasoner opener was full of them. Even though his first appearance occurred in the derided Star Wars Holiday Special, Boba Fett quickly managed to overcome the stigma of being associated with the worst thing that the franchise ever produced and established himself as one of that galaxy far, far away’s most enduring cult favorites, despite a relative lack of screen time.
Fans were over the moon when rumors began circulating that Temuera Morrison would be returning as the legendary bounty hunter in The Mandalorian, and while his armor showed up in the possession of Timothy Olyphant’s Cobb Vanth, the season 2 premiere ended with a grizzled Boba looking like he had revenge on his mind.
The last we saw of Fett, he was thrown into a Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi to face certain doom, but we now know that not only did he survive, but his armor ended up in the hands of the Jawas.

The Mandalorian is back – and in style. The show has always had Western vibes, but “Chapter 9: The Marshal” cranked those to the max, presenting us with a dusty frontier town, a Marshal trying to keep the peace, frosty relations between indigenous people and settlers, and Mando himself as ‘the man with no name.’ Within this, we also got some very cool nods to the history of Star Wars.
Most obvious was Timothy Olyphant’s Cobb Vanth wearing Boba Fett’s armor, which emerged from the Sarlacc and was discovered by Jawas. Also of note was Vance using one of Anakin Skywalker’s pod racer engines from The Phantom Menace as his ride and the reappearance of the goofy Pit Droids. Then there’s Fett as played by Temuera Morrison, glimpsed in the closing moments of the episode. But there’s one subtle cameo that most viewers missed.

Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, most people are firmly in agreement that the shadowy figure seen at the conclusion of The Mandalorian‘s season 2 premiere is indeed Boba Fett, who has long been rumored to make his return in the hit Disney Plus series. “The Mandalorian” and Baby Yoda made a typically action-packed return on Friday.
Fans wondering whether Season 2 would deviate from the style and format of Season 1 have their answer, at least for now. The premiere is highly reminiscent of several episodes we’ve seen before, as Mando returns to Tatooine in search of a fellow Mandalorian who could hold some of the answers he needs on his quest to return Baby Yoda to the Jedi.
In a remote mining town, our helmeted protagonist finds a man wearing Mandalorian armor. However, he quickly works out that this is not one of his kind, but rather the town’s Marshall Cobb Vanth (played by Timothy Olyphant), who bought what looks awfully like Boba Fett’s helmet, rocket launcher and jetpack off a bunch of Jawas.

When Pedro Pascal was roughly 4 years old, he and his family went to see the 1978 hit movie “Superman,” starring Christopher Reeve. Pascal’s young parents had come to live in San Antonio after fleeing their native Chile during the rise of dictator Augusto Pinochet in the mid-1970s. Taking Pascal and his older sister to the movies — sometimes more than once a week — had become a kind of family ritual, a way to soak up as much American pop culture as possible.
At some point during this particular visit, Pascal needed to go to the bathroom, and his parents let him go by himself. “I didn’t really know how to read yet,” Pascal says with the same Cheshire grin that dazzled “Game of Thrones” fans during his run as the wily (and doomed) Oberyn Martel. “I did not find my way back to ‘Superman.'”
Instead, Pascal wandered into a different theater.

The Mandalorian season 2 is officially landing on October 30th and I can’t wait. Expectations are sky high after the first season knocked it out of the park as the best live-action Star Wars project we’d seen in ages. Even better, the second run finished filming just before the Covid-19 lockdowns hit, meaning that unlike many other Disney+ shows, there aren’t going to be any delays.
Now, to get us a bit more excited, Ilm Animation Director Hal Hickel has shared a new in-house logo for the second season, which features everyone’s favorite adorable space gremlin Baby Yoda, who will no doubt become the focus of a marketing blitz this holiday season (Disney are certainly not going to drop the ball on merchandise twice).

The series, which is set five years after Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Empire, will pick up where the first season left off, with the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) on a journey to find where the mysterious, Force-sensitive Child came from. But the beloved’s duo galactic search won’t be easy.
After all, what remains of the Empire, led by the evil Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), wants the Child for its own sinister purposes (likely something to do with Emperor Palpatine’s Final Order plan). We learned in the season 1 finale that Gideon had survived his fight...
