There have been rumblings for several years now that Marvel Studios is developing a Midnight Suns movie revolving around the McU's supernatural heroes.
It may have taken a big step forward recently, however, as scooper @MyTimeToShineH is claiming that Kevin Feige is keen on filmmaker Fede Álvarez taking the helm of the project.
He's no stranger to horror after directing Evil Dead, Don't Breathe, and the upcoming Alien: Romulus. He also wrote Don't Breathe 2 and penned the story for 2022's Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Given the positive buzz surrounding the next Alien movie, this rumour makes a lot of sense.
Interestingly, Werewolf by Night director and regular MCU composer Michael Giacchino is also said to be an option after his impressive work with the Marvel Studios Special Presentation.

According to Marvel scoopers, Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine may feature many cameos. They have speculated the appearance of multiple celebrities, from James Marsden’s Cyclops to Taylor Swift’s Dazzler. However, one such rumored cameo has cast doubt on fans due to the nature of the actor’s relationship with Reynolds. Recent rumors have it that Wesley Snipes’ Blade will appear in the film.
Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes may have worked together on the upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine
Fans refused to believe this news as Snipes and Reynolds couldn’t see eye to eye on the sets of Blade: Trinity, the third movie in the Blade franchise. It has been rumored for a long time that Marvel will bring back Snipes’ character to honor his contributions to keeping the company afloat.

We've been hearing rumours for months that Wesley Snipes will return as Blade, and it was earlier this week that we learned the actor has indeed signed up for a future MCU appearance.
While X-Men and Spider-Man typically get the lion's share of credit for bringing superheroes back to theaters, Blade and Blade II arguably kickstarted the genre's return to prominence in the early 2000s. With that in mind, we find it easy to imagine Marvel Studios being keen to give Snipes the chance to bid farewell to the Daywalker after the disaster that was Blade: Trinity.
According to a rumour shared by scooper @MyTimeToShineH, Snipes has agreed to reprise his role as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine.
This makes more sense than the next Avengers movies as Mahershala Ali should have appeared in the Blade reboot by then. It's also worth remembering that Snipes and Ryan Reynolds have a history on screen.

A decade on from its fateful leak, a look at how a two-minute Deadpool test reel has led to Deadpool & Wolverine – a film that is about to change the MCU.
The general public was never even meant to see it, and yet the test footage for Deadpool has made more of a dent on pop culture than some multi-million dollar films with huge marketing departments behind them.
To this day, nobody has publicly admitted to leaking that footage in 2014. Some have pointed the finger at director Tim Miller; franchise star Ryan Reynolds has playfully hinted that he might have uploaded it to the internet that July. There are theories that the studio that commissioned it, 20th Century Fox, may have leaked it deliberately as part of an elaborate publicity campaign.

Wesley Snipes’ Blade Trilogy has a cult following with a loyal and dedicated fandom. As MCU is set to reboot the franchise with Oscar-winning star Mahershala Ali, fans have long sought the reappearance of Snipes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, a recent rumor suggests that there is still room for Snipes’ Blade in the MCU.
Wesley Snipes as Blade
Nothing is beyond possibility, at least in the multiverse saga. Spider-Man: No Way Home is a prime example of that, as the Tom Holland starrer movie created the spectacle bringing back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield alongside their iconic villains. In its essence, the speculation might just come true as Marvel is reportedly planning big for Avengers: Secret Wars.

Ryan Reynolds has shown his tremendous worth time and time again by doing things that others presumed to be rather impossible. Like getting an R-rated Deadpool movie full of savagery, profanity, and Nsfw references greenlit from the MCU — something that many thought they could never get. Or like convincing Hugh Jackman to return to his fan-favorite role of Wolverine.
Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool.
But if there is, indeed, an impossible mission for Reynolds, then it is none other than bringing one Marvel actor back to the franchise: Wesley Snipes. And it’s most certainly not because he can’t do it, no. Rather, it is because he himself wouldn’t want to do it, thanks to Snipes being quite infamous for all the notoriety he showed on the sets of his Blade trilogy.

A couple months ago, we heard a rumor that a team of supernatural characters known as the Midnight Sons might be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe… and now Oscar Isaac has let it be known that if a Midnight Sons project were to happen, he wants his MCU character Moon Knight to be part of it!
As I’ve said before, one of my favorite comic book story arcs is the “Rise of the Midnight Sons”, where Doctor Strange oversaw the formation of a team of supernatural heroes – Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, Morbius, the Nightstalkers, and Darkhold characters Vicki Montesi, Louise Hastings, and Sam Buchanan – who were brought together to battle Lilith, the Mother of All Demons, and her evil offspring, the Lilin. There have been different variations of the Midnight Sons over the years, with other team members like Daimon Hellstrom, Jennifer Kale, Werewolf by Night, Man-Thing, The Hood,...

Mahershala Ali, the Oscar-winning actor who is set to play the iconic vampire hunter Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was reportedly ready to leave the project due to creative differences with the studio. According to a recent article from Variety1, Ali was unhappy with the direction of the script, which had Blade as a secondary character in his own movie.
The article claims that one of the early drafts of the script, written by Stacy Osei-Kuffour and Nic Pizzolatto, had Blade as the fourth lead of the film, behind three new characters who were supposed to be his allies. The script also featured a villain who was a former lover of Blade’s mother, and a plot that involved a cult of vampires trying to resurrect Dracula.

1998’s Blade was the first superhero movie that gave audiences a peek at the potential of bringing Marvel characters to the big screen. Wesley Snipes became iconic as the half-human, half-vampire Blade, with the film earning a sequel that was an even bigger hit and directed by a young Guillermo del Toro. For the third movie, franchise writer David S. Goyer was given the opportunity to direct, and New Line Cinema opted to spin the series off, using the film to introduce two new characters, Jessica Biel’s Abigail Whistler and Ryan Reynolds’ Hannibal King, part of a vampire hunting team called The Nightstalkers.
According to various reports, including co-star/standup icon Patton Oswalt, the shoot was a disaster. Wesley Snipes, perhaps rightly, assumed the franchise was being taken away from him, with him resenting Blade’s reduced screen time and being uncooperative on set. He apparently did not like Ryan Reynolds,...

Wesley Snipes may have long since moved on from his time playing Marvel’s Blade, but it’s a period he has had to repeatedly revisit in the years since, and not for the best of reasons, either.
Released in 2004, Blade: Trinity was to be the third and final installment for this iteration of the vampire hunter’s movie series as he took on the ultimate enemy – Dracula (Dominic Purcell). Unable to complete his quest to rid the world of the vampire kind’s progenitor alone, Blade reluctantly enlists the help of several fellow hunters, including Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds), Abigail Whistler (Jessica Biel) and Hedges – played by then relatively unknown comedian, Patton Oswalt.
It was the last of these three co-stars that would eventually speak out about their personal experiences on set while making Trinity, with particular emphasis placed on Snipes’ behavior throughout the production. In addition to recalling...

Until Deadpool roared into theaters back in 2016 and raked in a massive $782 million at the box office to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie in history at that point and launch yet another franchise that fell under the umbrella of Fox’s X-Men series, Ryan Reynolds was in real danger of gaining a reputation for being someone who exclusively starred in terrible comic book adaptations.
Prior to the success that greeted the Merc with a Mouth’s solo debut, Reynolds had featured in four comic book movies, two of which had bombed spectacularly, while the other two were widely regarded as the worst entries in their respective franchises. The most critically acclaimed of the bunch was X-Men Origins: Wolverine with a 37% Rotten Tomatoes score, which pretty much tells you everything you need to know.

Ryan Reynolds may be killing it as Deadpool nowadays, but as we all know, his comic book movie career wasn’t always so successful. He initially played Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, possibly the worst entry in Fox’s X-franchise, and also starred as Hal Jordan in DC’s failed 2011 Green Lantern film. Of course, Reynolds has poked fun at himself in the Deadpool movies with references to both of these productions. But now, the Merc with a Mouth’s latest comic book appearance goes even further, and calls back to Reynolds’ debut turn in the superhero world that’s often overlooked.

Ryan Reynolds is pretty much superhero movie royalty by this point. He’s been unlucky enough to appear in a few stinkers, sure, but his impressively long list of comic book roles – including Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity, Green Lantern and, of course, Deadpool – is second to none. Still, there is another iconic superhero that he wishes he’d got the chance to play.
At a Q&A panel at this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con, the Canadian star was asked which other costumed character he would’ve wanted to portray. Reynolds initially joked that he’d like to take over from Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, before admitting that he once had his eye on playing the Wally West version of DC’s the Flash.
“I would say Wolverine, but God, I would be terrible. Honestly, I wanted to be the Flash — the Wally West version — but I think all of those ships have sailed.

Sneak Peek an amusing interview between "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds and his 'bitter' twin brother, in support of Reynolds being named "GQ" Man Of The Year:
Aside from playing the lead in "Deadpool" (2016), Reynolds is noted for his role as 'Michael Bergen' on the ABC sitcom "Two Guys and a Girl" (1998–2001), 'Billy Simpson' in the Ytv Canadian soap "Hillside" (1991), as well as Marvel Comics characters 'Hannibal King' in "Blade: Trinity" (2004) and 'Wade Wilson'/'Weapon XI' in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (2009).
He also also starred as 'Hal Jordan' in "Green Lantern" (2011), as "National Lampoon's Van Wilder" (2002), and played the lead in "The Amityville Horror" (2005), "Definitely, Maybe" (2008), "The Proposal" (2009), "Buried" (2010), "Mississippi Grind" (2015) and "Woman in Gold" (2015).

The truth is, it started with Blade, and it ended with him. The rest of us were just along for the ride.
I won’t try and pretend that Blade: Trinity is anywhere as good as its predecessors—it simply isn’t. What I will say, though, is that it is still a decent sequel that squanders a lot of potential but ultimately has a few cool tricks up its sleeve, which has made me a longtime defender of this often-maligned third installment in the Blade franchise.
In Blade: Trinity, our titular hero has more to contend with than just bloodsuckers, as he’s quickly become a vigilante in the eyes of humankind. City officials and other governmental agencies have refused to publicly acknowledge the existence of vampires and have targeted everyone’s favorite monster hunter. During the film’s opening chase sequence, Blade has the misfortune of mistakenly killing...

Deadpool hits theaters Friday, Feb. 12, Ryan Reynolds stars in it, and fans are hotly anticipating the funny, raunchy superhero movie. All these things easily couldn't have happened - and that's worth talking about. Here's the thing about Deadpool, as a comic book character: He's not exactly what most people would imagine when they think about the main character in a superhero movie. At best, Deadpool, a.k.a. Wade Wilson, is an anti-hero; he's a wise-cracking Bugs Bunny of a guy, even when he's running around killing people. He's a little unhinged, he's a little sexually fluid, and perhaps strangest of all,...

Hey, remember that time Dracula fought the Hulk? Or the X-Men? Or Spider-Man? No? Well, you're in luck, because we do!
Dracula. The very name conjures images of sexuality, corruption, and decadence. From the original novel written by Bram Stoker in 1897 to the moment Bela Lugosi donned the famed opera cloak in 1931, the character of Dracula has been an iconic horror staple.
In fact, Dracula has been the subject of over 200 films, second only to the number of films starring Sherlock Holmes. But films, novels, and television aren't the only genres that have contained Dracula’s bloodlust. Comic books have been a compelling source for new Dracula material. Marvel Comics in particular have been a happy hunting ground for the Lord of the Vampires.
After the easing of Comic Code restrictions in the early seventies, Stan Lee and Marvel were eager to explore classic monsters in the pages of their books.
