Irene Gil-Ramon is an award-wining filmmaker and visual artist based in Los Angeles. Gil-Ramon has directed projects across fiction and non-fiction, including web documentaries and installations and her work has been screened in venues such as Museo de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), Saatchi Gallery (London) or REDCAT (Los Angeles). In 2018 she moved from Barcelona to Los Angeles to attend CalArts after being awarded one of the 'La Caixa' Fellowships. Since then, her projects have been supported by notable fellowships, including the 2023 Reef Residency or the 2023 Deutsche Bank FRIEZE Los Angeles Film Award, where she received the Jury Award for Best Day of My Life (in LA).
Gil-Ramon holds a Master in Creative Documentary from UPF-BSM and an MFA in Film Directing from CalArts, where she now serves as editing and production consultant for the Sharon Disney Lund School of Dance.
