Kyle Patrick Alvarez knows how hard it is to watch the final episode of “13 Reasons Why” Season 1; after all, he directed it. “I mean, even in editing, it wasn’t easy at any point,” he said to IndieWire. “It was one of those things where you just, you want it over. However, that might have actually worked to “Tape 7, Side A’s” advantage, if only by osmosis. “Hopefully that same feeling of sort of dread and anticipation is in the episode, too.”

In the series, Prentice's character rapes Jess (Alisha Boe) and later Hannah. Bryce doesn't receive the tapes as Hannah planned, instead Clay (Dylan Minnette) recorded his...

13 Reasons Why leads Katherine Langford (Hannah Baker) and Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen) understand that not everyone is a fan of the hit Netflix show, given its portrayal of teen suicide.
Et spoke to the pair at the Netflix FYSee Kick Off Event at Netflix FYSee Space on Sunday, where they got candid about some of the criticism being lobbied at the show. Still, Langford and Minnette say the response they've received has been overwhelmingly good.
"People that have talked to me have said that it's really helped them out with their friends," Minnette said. "It's really amazing the responses from people... you know, nobody's thoughts or opinions are invalid because there's no invalid thoughts about it. But I'm just glad that it's bringing these discussions to the mainstream -- they really haven't been before enough. I'm just glad we reached our goal in that sense."

Netflix has officially renewed 13 Reason Why for a second season. This comes as no big surprise because the controversial series seemed to be a big hit. According to THR, Season 2 will consist of 13 more hour-long episodes and it will premiere in 2018.
There aren't a lot of details on Season 2, but according to the report, it "picks up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker's (Katherine Langford) death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery."
There's no word on if Hannah will play a part in the second season but it sounds like she will. I think as we continue to dive into the story and these characters, we will continue to see flashbacks of the events that occurred prior to her committing suicide. When previously talking about where the series would go after season one, show runner Brian Yorkey said:
"Hannah's story is still very much not finished.

Warning: This article spoils the season finale of 13 Reasons Why. If you haven’t finished “Tape 7, Side A,” get thee to a TV — or whatever device you’re reading this on — and binge!
As far as teen dramas go, Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why is a damn masterpiece. In fact, I’d argue that the powerful series — adapted from Jay Asher’s 2007 novel about a teenage girl who leaves behind a series of audio tapes detailing the events (and people) that led her to commit suicide — transcends the genre, bolstered by powerhouse performances from an ensemble peppered with TV veterans and fresh new talent.
