Marko Kuo represents clients in all areas of the entertainment and new media industries, including both up and coming and A-list actors, writers and directors, animation studios and production companies. As a former entertainment and intellectual property litigator, he has extensive, unique experience in all phases of entertainment law. Mr. Kuo is regularly entrusted by Fortune 500 companies to negotiate complex sponsorship and marketing deals on their behalf. Mr. Kuo joined the firm in 2015 and became partner in 2021.
Mr. Kuo was named a "Super Lawyer" by Southern California Super Lawyers magazine in each year from 2019 through 2022 and was named a "Rising Star" from 2013-2016. He was also selected for inclusion in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 editions of "The Best Lawyers in America," which ranks him among the top lawyers in the nation. He is admitted to practice in the Southern and Central California Districts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2016, Mr. Kuo was named in the "Up Next" category of Variety's prestigious "Legal Impact Report," which annually highlights the most promising up-and-comers in the entertainment industry.
Mr. Kuo earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he graduated cum laude; he earned his B.B.A. (with Highest Honors) in 2003 from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma.
