One of the things that non-soap opera viewers don't get to experience as much is recasting. No matter how talented the actors are and how great they do their job, sometimes the show has to replace them no matter what. And then it can get a lot harder to connect with a formerly beloved character.
Fortunately, that wasn't the case with Trina Robinson, and the vast majority of viewers fell in love with Tabyana Ali just as quickly as they did with the previous actress who played her. However, it's still a mystery to many why Sydney Mikayla decided to leave after 3 years of crazy Port Charles life.
Why Did Old Trina Leave General Hospital?
Trina Robinson wasn't created by Sydney Mikayla, as Tiana Le was the first to portray the character on screen, appearing in 3 episodes between 2017 and 2018. However, Mikayla was the actress who began to explore the beloved character further,...

“National Treasure: Edge of History” has been canceled at Disney+ after one season, Variety has confirmed.
Based on the “National Treasure” film franchise, Disney’s TV adaptation followed treasure hunter Jess Venezuela. After a stranger gives her a tip about a centuries-old treasure possibly connected to her father, she and her friends set out on the hunt. Lisette Olivera, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Zuri Reed, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodrigues, Jake Austin Walker, and Lyndon Smith were among the cast.
In the season one finale, which aired in February, co-creators Marianne and Cormac Wibberley (who also wrote the first two films) closed the first installment unveiling a “National Treasure” twist. FBI Agent Hendricks (Armando Riesco) — who appeared in both “National Treasure” films and recurred on the series — revealed himself to be the Cras Est Nostrum’s Salazar, a generational title for wizard behind the curtain and had been secretly sabotaging Billie’s (Zeta-Jones) Treasure Destoyer hunts.

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is a famous character on General Hospital. Since her debut in 2017, Trina has become part of the Port Charles teen crowd and is a popular young heroine. Her relationship with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) has garnered a huge fan base.
Like many soap opera characters, the role of Trina has been recast several times. Here’s a look at the actors who’ve stepped into the role.

Tabyana Ali initially auditioned for the role of Trina back in 2019. Although she gave a good audition, the General Hospital producers decided to cast Sydney Mikayla. However, Ali got her second chance with the ABC soap opera.
When Mikayla left in March 2022, Ali was cast as the new Trina. Ali had big shoes to fill, taking over from her predecessor. But the actor quickly won over the audience.

Tabyana Ali plays Trina Robinson on General Hospital. She is actually the third actor to play the role but came close to being the second. Trina came to Port Charles in 2017 as a friend of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and was initially played by Tiana Le. The character didn’t appear much but was a name said in passing.

Later, the role was slightly changed, and Sydney Mikayla became Trina, who was now much more of an onscreen presence along with Josslyn, Cameron Webber (William Lipton), and Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt).
Mikayla was popular in the role but decided to leave Gh in 2022 to become a full-time student. Tabyana Ali has been playing Trina ever since.

“Big Shot” is the story of a once-successful but temperamental NCAA basketball coach who lands in hot water when he injures a referee. Add to it a failed marriage, and this hotshot coach is brought down a few pegs.
Now that he’s busted down to minor leagues, he needs to coach the sports team of an all-girls high school. But there’s a caveat — those kids don’t take him seriously. As the dramedy moves on, he magically finds his way back and ends up having a phenomenal redemption arc. “Big Shot” is a true depiction of how second chances can be life-changing.
The series debuted on Disney+ on April 16, 2021. David E. Kelley, Bill D’Elia, Dean Lorey, and Brad Garrett are the executive producers of “Big Shot.” ABC Signature is the studio. It is rumored that the production for season two will kickstart somewhere in 2022.

Big Shot, starring John Stamos, Jessalyn Gilsig, Yvette Nicole Brown, and a slew of talented young women performers, could be summed up as "life according to basketball."
A quick internet search provides many articles about the important lessons basketball teaches, but Coach Marvyn Korn (Stamos) still has a lot to learn despite his celebrated accomplishments in the NCAA.
By the time we catch up with Coach Korn, his 12 conference titles and three championships are old news, and finding his next coaching gig doesn't come easily.
So when he's offered an opportunity at an all-girls high school, he's not eager for the new experience but resigned to the fact that it's the best he can do for now. Still, Marvyn Korn has been propelled all of his life by his father's words -- he's an embarrassment -- to do everything he can to prove otherwise.
It's not a coincidence that a...

Marvyn Korn is no Ted Lasso. But he might have to be in order to thrive, both as a coach and as the main character of a new streaming TV show.
In Disney+’s new sports dramedy Big Shot, John Stamos plays Marvyn, a legendary — and legendarily hot-tempered — men’s basketball coach whose antics make him unemployable at the college level. The sport is all he cares about, so he reluctantly takes a job coaching a girls team at a California prep school. He is intense and unyielding from the start,...

Disney+’s Big Shot session at TCA had to navigate through a fair share of technical difficulties before series actress Yvette Nicole Brown saved the day by using her moderating skills and talking to her fellow cast members, John Stamos and Jessalyn Gilsig as well as Executive Producer/Showrunner Dean Lorey and Executive Producer/Director Bill D’Elia. The series debuts on Disney+ on April 16.
The panel’s technical difficulties lasted throughout and unfortunately, John Stamos, who stars as Marvyn Korn on the series, bowed out for a long beat because he couldn’t hear anyone. Before signing off and resetting his computer he told his castmates, “Just say nice things about me.”
The series follows Marvyn, a hothead men’s NCAA basketball who is ousted and begrudgingly takes a job at an all-girls high school. He soon learns that teenage girls are more than just X’s and O’s moving on a court.
