Initially, Joe Pesci’s character, Leo Getz, was only meant to be in Lethal Weapon 2. But Getz became a fan favorite and was invited back not only for Lethal Weapon 3, but also Lethal Weapon 4. At the time of Lethal Weapon 2’s release, Pesci spoke to us about how he brought the character to life. Chris Columbus' 1990 comedy film "Home Alone" owes a great deal of its massive success to its brazen, little-kid wish-fulfillment premise. The young Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) lives in a large, expensive home with a retinue of siblings so large that he rarely seems to be acknowledged. Thanks to the chaotic bustle of a large-scale family trip, paired with a brief nighttime power-out, Kevin oversleeps and his entire family makes it onto a plane to Paris without him. Kevin is initially frightened that he is home alone but soon learns to take advantage of the situation, eating junk food and watching rubbish on TV to his heart's content. One can assume most children had similar fantasies, and families flocked to theaters in droves. Even not accounting for inflation, "Home Alone" made 476 million worldwide.
Families came for Kevin's rule-breaking but stayed for his capacity for mayhem. The 9-year-old noticed that a pair...

Thomas Lennon is developing the animated comedy “The Post Guard” at Fox, Variety has learned exclusively.
The series is described as a workplace adventure comedy following the rag tag crew of humans, turtles, seals and mermaids at the secretive, and often overlooked mashup of the Coast Guard and Post Office, as they scour the high seas to find and deliver messages in bottles, while settling who among them is in charge of the ship’s menial tasks, like resetting the WiFi.
Fox has ordered a presentation for the project. Lennon will write and executive produce, with Peter Principato also executive producing. Fox Entertainment will produce along with Bento Box Entertainment.
Lennon has been in demand at Fox for some time, going back to his starring role in the comedy pilot “Dan the Weatherman” in 2018. He also starred in the Fox pilot Richard Lovely and appeared as Leo Getz in the...

A review of this week’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, “Power Broker,” coming up just as soon as I try to run in these heels…
There’s a moment late in “Power Broker” where Sam and Bucky are once again bickering, this time about which direction Bucky was supposed to go in the middle of a gunfight. Sam feels his instructions were very clear, and gripes, “It’s in every action movie!” It’s supposed to be another joke about how these two just plain don’t like each other,...

Thomas Lennon is headed to Quibi.
The actor, screenwriter, and comedian has set up the comedy project “Winos” at the upcoming short-form content platform. In the series, after failing spectacularly in Silicon Valley, a misguided entrepreneur (Lennon) moves one valley over into wine country and tries to turn a run-down vineyard into a success. “Winos” then follows the antics of the rag-tag group of employees who have no business running a winery.
In addition to starring, Lennon created the series and will write and executive produce. Peter Principato will also executive produce. 20th Century Fox Television will produce.
Lennon is perhaps best known for co-creating and starring in the Comedy Central mockumentary series “Reno 911!” as well as starring in the CBS reboot of “The Odd Couple” with Matthew Perry. He also recently appeared in the Fox series “Lethal Weapon” in the role of Leo Getz. On the film side, in...

While Joe Pesci isn’t to everyone’s taste, the actor has earned his place in cinema history with roles in everything from Raging Bull to Goodfellas and Home Alone. In fact, Pesci has emerged from virtual retirement for Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman and now, may reprise one of his iconic parts for Lethal Weapon 5. The action franchise, which has recently spun-out a troubled television series, hasn’t had a new entry since 1998, but sources suggest that shooting may start later this year.
It’s fair to say that the Lethal Weapon series is problematic, given its association with some relatively dated 1980s humor, as well as original co-star Mel Gibson’s fall from grace. Still, from its launch in 1987 with Richard Donner’s first film, the series has generated almost a billion dollars in worldwide revenues for Warner Bros. And in Hollywood, money talks.

Thomas Lennon has been cast in the title role of the Fox single-camera comedy pilot “Richard Lovely,” Variety has learned exclusively.
The project follows Richard Lovely, the disgruntled author of the best-selling children’s book series, “Mr. Mouse.” He doesn’t hate children, but rather just everything about them. After a publicity fiasco involving an unexpectedly savvy 9-year-old kid, Mr. Mouse appears in Richard’s real life as he is forced into an unlikely father/son relationship that will change his life forever.
Lennon will star alongside previously announced cast members Nicole Sun and Wendie Malick.
The news comes a year after Lennon was cast in the Fox comedy pilot “Dan the Weatherman.” That pilot was said to be well-received at the network with Lennon in particular earning considerable praise. Fox decided to redevelop it as a possible midseason show before ultimately passing on it in December. Lennon is perhaps...

“Same ol’ Cole.”
“Yeah, who doesn’t love that guy.”
It's a new year and a new episode of Lethal Weapon, but while many of us are caught up in New Year's resolutions and plans for self-improvement, "There Will Be Bud" sees both Cole and Murtaugh falling back into the same mistakes that have held them back all season. Fortunately, these mistakes and regressive behaviors make for an entertaining installment.
Hot off the news of Natalie's engagement, Cole tries to distract himself and look to greener pastures. While there was a clear rapport between Cole and the Lapd's new Assistant District Attorney, Erica, in the previous episode, "There Will Be Bud" instead decides to throw Cole into a new love triangle. An art heist grabs the Lapd’s attention as Cole is left to sort out some personal demons in a reliable episode of Lethal Weapon.
This Lethal Weapon review contains spoilers.
Lethal Weapon Season 3 Episode 5
“Do not. It never ends well when you try to fix things.”
Part of the comfort of a procedural series like Lethal Weapon is that week-after-week the show delivers a reliable pattern that its stories follow. That being said, there’s such a thing as following a pattern to a fault, and “Get the Picture” is certainly guilty of that to some degree. The episode delivers what’s come to be expected from an installment of Lethal Weapon, but at this point in the show’s run the audience expects a little more.

The world-famous Swedish vigilante hacker Lisbeth Salander is back, and this time she’s saving the world from nuclear annihilation. It’s a bit of a shift for Salander; when last we saw her in “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” she was solving serial murders and exacting painful revenge on abusive male accountants.
In Fede Alvarez’s “The Girl in the Spider’s Web,” she’s stealing from the Nsa, surviving explosions in bathtubs and getting in a whole bunch of car chases. It’s like if “Goldfinger” was the sequel to “Psycho.” It may be undeniably cool to watch, but it’s hard to deny that it’s a tonal Crazy Ivan.
It’s been three years since Lisbeth Salander last worked with journalist Mikael Blomkvist. She’s been using her mad hacking skills to punish abusive husbands, but she’s still got a day job, and when...

Hindsight is a hell of a thing. People like Murtaugh and Cole are required to regularly make high-pressure decisions that will have dire consequences regardless of what they choose to do. Let the conspiracy commence!
To be fair, it's not a conspiracy when the facts back it up, now is it? Half of Shooter Season 3 Episode 2 dragged as far as the Jimmy Poole/ Earl Swagger background information and flashbacks were concerned, but by the end of the hour, Shooter had me invested.
In a revelation that shocked no one, Bob Lee finally confirmed that his father was killed, not by Jimmy Poole, but by a sniper! Is it Shooter unless the season's big bad is a sniper? I think not.
I know back in the eighties ballistics and forensics weren't nearly as advanced as they are now. Some small-town police force wasn't getting it's CSI on. I completely understand that.
What I don't understand is how anyone could fail to notice that the gunshot that killed Earl came from a distance. You don't need to be a gun expert to hear the difference.

I don't know what is going on, but Lethal Weapon Season 2 Episode 21 threw me for a huge loop.
I know about Avery possibly running for office a while back, but at that time, he had decided not to do it. Now, all of a sudden, he's out, and Murtaugh is in.
How did this change so quickly in the course of two episodes with nary a mention?
It's highly disappointing that Kevin Rahm's Avery will no longer be part of the Lethal Weapon team. There's always the possibility he might come back, but the Commission wouldn't have offered Murtaugh the job if Avery was coming back.
It also sets up the possibility that Lethal Weapon isn't going to be renewed for a third season. If Roger takes the captain's job, he will no longer be partnered up with Riggs.
No Riggs and Murtaugh means no Lethal Weapon.

It was hard to watch Lethal Weapon Season 2 Episode 20 without thinking about the controversy surrounding Clayne Crawford and his alleged onset behavior.
One of my biggest gripes about the show over the last several episodes has been the lack of connection between Riggs and Murtaugh. The bromance that made us all fall in love with this show has been off kilter like the entire show has been lately.
If the stories are true, then it makes complete sense why this is so, and that's a disappointment.
I'm not going to pass judgment on Crawford because all the facts have yet to be laid out, but what a mess. And what a disservice to fans who have supported the show since the beginning.
"Jesse's Girl" seemed to emulate the mess behind the scenes. There was no Riggs and Roger connection. Trish and Roger were way off base with Riana. Riana herself was out of character.

I don't know about anyone else, but Lethal Weapon Season 2 Episode 19 seemed a little out of place and all over the place.
Was there a time jump I missed? I can't remember Molly and Riggs getting back together. And Riana possibly being pregnant right after she got her driver's license on Lethal Weapon Season 2 Episode 18 seemed a bit overdramatic even if it ended up not being true.
Sorry, folks, but not even Leo Getz could save this one.
I don't even know where to begin so let's start with Riggs and Molly.
I love the idea of Riggs and Molly being back together again, but I would have liked to have seen how they got to that point considering the last time we saw them together she was fuming at his idiocy and didn't want to see him again.
I didn't quite understand why Jake had to be back into the mix of things.

Funny, fit and ready for prime time is the best way to describe Johnathan Fernandez, the secret weapon of Lethal Weapon on Fox. His character Bernard “Scorsese” is so good that he eats scenes up when paired up with the main cast, and he has added a quirk and energy not unlike what Joe Pesci did for his original Leo Getz character from the original film. Ucb alum Fernandez can also be seen on TV series Bull and Adam Ruins Everything. The moment, cut from Episode 3, “Best Buds,” shows Clayne Crawford’s Riggs doing something kinda sweet for his new-ish partner, Damon Wayans’ Murtaugh. But as Murtaugh tucks into the delicious treat Martin brings him, Riggs — in the driver’s seat — announces that he’s maybe kinda a little under the influence.

Question: Any intel on the Grey’s Anatomy finale? I haven’t heard a peep! —Megan
Ausiello: That’s about to change in 3, 2… “It’s pretty dramatic and pretty intense,” Kevin McKidd teased to TVLine at PaleyFest over the weekend. “It’s pretty dark and very good. Debbie [Allen]’s going to direct it, and it’s going to be amazing.” Owen’s portayer adds that unlike previous closers, Season 13’s climax won’t be centered around a catastrophic event.

Sometimes being in love makes you do goofy things.
Riggs finally found himself in a happy place on Lethal Weapon Season 1 Episode 16, but his guilt over Miranda had him acting like a fool.
I'm not sure how I feel about Riggs being with Agent Palmer. While I'm happy for Riggs, I'm also disappointed.
It's not that I want him to mourn Miranda forever or that I don't like Palmer, I just wish he was with Dr. Cahill instead. There. I said it. I want Riggs with Dr. Cahill. They have such incredible chemistry.
The relationship between Riggs and Palmer almost - I said almost - feels forced. Sure, they had great chemistry when they were on the stakeout earlier this season, and they obviously bonded last hour when they were protecting Leo Getz, but really? Really?
It seems fast. But I guess Riggs has to start with someone, and Palmer is better than just anybody.

Most people would have the good sense not to entice a professional boxer to punch them in the face.
Lethal Weapon‘s Martin Riggs is not most people.
In this exclusive sneak peek at Wednesday’s episode (8/7c), the smart-mouthed detective needles a former Golden Gloves boxer so much that the retired pugilist takes a swing at him. And man, does that swing connect.

Lethal Weapon is going to be a lot of fun tonight as the show brings a favorite character from the films to the small screen.
Yep. It's time for Riggs and Murtaugh to meet Leo Getz.
Thomas Lennon of The Odd Couple and Reno 911 fame takes on the role that was popularized by Joe Pesci in the films.
But don't expect to see a copycat. Lennon will be bringing a fresh take Getz, and if you've seen any of his previous work, you know it's going to be hilarious.
We had a chance to chat with Lennon about Leo Getz, how he prepared for the role and what it was like working on Lethal Weapon.
TV Fanatic: You're playing one of the most memorable characters in the Lethal Weapon film franchise, how excited were you to take on the character of Leo Getz and how did it all come about?...

Well, what do you wanna hear, man? Do you wanna hear that sometimes I think about writing a Lethal Weapon retrospective? Well, I do! I’ve even got a special notebook for the occasion, filled with hollow points… Do the job right! Every single day, I wake up and I think of a reason not to do it, every… single… day. And you know why I don’t do it? This is gonna make you laugh The job. Doing the job.
So. The Lethal Weapon franchise. Martin Riggs, Roger Murtaugh, and a lot of dead bad guys. Given the body count these chaps tallied, I’m amazed they got through four films without someone looking into their particular brand of police detective work. I mean, you have to go through a review or something when you shoot just one suspect,...
