There’s cruises for outlaw country, classic country, and Americana country. Now, 2000s country finally gets its due. In 2025, the Boots on the Water cruise will assemble some of the biggest names from the Aughts for a five-day voyage to the Bahamas.
Big & Rich — the duo of Big Kenny Alphin and John Rich — will headline with special guest Gretchen Wilson in a mini-reunion of the Muzik Mafia that ran roughshod over the mid-2000s. Other Aught-shots aboard include Craig Morgan (“That’s What I Love About Sunday,” 2004), Lonestar (“I’m Already There,...

Next month, country singer Justin Moore will be releasing Straight Outta the Country, the singer’s first collection of new music since his 2019 album Late Nights and Longnecks. The record was produced by Moore’s longtime collaborator Jeremy Stover.
The singer announced the album on his podcast earlier today. “We had three times as many songs as we put on the last album,” Moore said. “This, to me, is just kind of an extension of that album. I think if people loved the last one, they’re gonna also love this one.

Cassadee Pope will release her new album, Rise and Shine, later this summer. Ahead of its August 7th arrival, the country-pop singer is releasing the tracks “Built This House” and “Let Me Go” on Friday.
Pope filmed a lyric video for the latter song, which premieres Thursday afternoon, a few hours before she hosts an online Q&a and performance for fans on her website. Unlike most lyric videos, the one for “Let Me Go” actually features the artist, who is shown sitting alone on stairs and strumming her guitar.

Consisting of 12 new songs, Heart Theory explores the seven stages of grief: shock, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, testing, and acceptance. Ell penned all but one of the songs, drawing on personal experiences, and finished it at a distance during quarantine with producer Dann Huff. The track listing reveals a variety of top-notch collaborators, including Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard,...

Travis Denning’s “After a Few” is an odd song to be a summertime country hit. A stormy account of a physical attraction that just won’t quit, the brooding mid-tempo tune is shot through with longing and shadowy regret, rather than your typical warm-weather optimism. The Warner Robins, Georgia, native penned the song with writers Kelly Archer and Justin Weaver, and says he was floored by Archer’s idea to have the melody start off high with the tension ratcheted all the way up.
