Sylvester Stallone is known for his Rocky films, a franchise in Hollywood that remains one of the most influential pieces of cinema. However, Stallone has starred in some lesser-known offerings, that are nonetheless brilliant and engaging, if not a completely different genre from what the actor is used to.

Jagged Edge Productions and ITN Studios are building The Twisted Childhood Universe, which will consist of horror movies inspired by children’s stories. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 got the universe started, paving the way for Bambi: The Reckoning, Pinocchio: Unstrung, and Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare (not to mention Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3), building up to the crossover movie Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble. Written and directed by Scott Chambers, who is also producing all of these Twisted Childhood movies, Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare is currently in production – and Variety got their hands on an image of the film’s horror version of Peter Pan! You can check it out at the bottom of this article.

Agatha made her debut in the Disney+ series ‘WandaVision’ as the nosy neighbor-turned-powerful witch who attempted to steal Wanda’s powers. Following her defeat in the series, Agatha is left powerless and trapped in her mundane persona, a fate likely to be explored in the first episode of her own show. In the comics, Agatha is depicted as one of the most formidable magic users in the Marvel Universe, establishing a significant connection between the characters.
Given Agatha’s compelling presence in ‘WandaVision,’ it was a natural choice for her to receive her own spinoff series. With the release date of ‘Agatha’ drawing nearer, here’s a summary of everything we know about the upcoming show.

Agatha debuted in the Disney+ series ‘WandaWision,’ as the nosy neighbour-turned-powerful witch who tried to steal Wanda’s powers. By the end of the show, Agatha is defeated and trapped in her noisy neighbor persona, left powerless, which will obviously translate to the first episode of the show. The two characters share a connection from the comics, with Agatha being one of the most powerful magic users in the Marvel Comics Universe.
It wasn’t surprising when it was decided that Agatha would get her own show, the first spinoff derived from ‘WandaVision.’ Now since the release date for ‘Agatha’ is getting closer we decided to summarize everything we know about the show.

Made on a budget of less than $100,000, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (watch it Here) earned more than $6 million during its global release in early 2023… and sure, the movie racked up the Razzies, but it’s money that matters, and that’s why Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 was made and given a theatrical release last month. Now the Australia-based company Umbrella Entertainment is taking pre-orders for their special edition Blu-ray release of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, which is scheduled to be released on July 17th.

We already knew that there’s going to be another installment in the Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey horror franchise, because it was announced earlier this month that Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 (which is now on the last day of its three-day theatrical run) a part of a cinematic universe with other horror movies inspired by children’s stories, like Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, Bambi: The Reckoning, and Pinocchio Unstrung, and it’s building up to the crossover movie Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, which will be released in 2025. But now Variety has been able to confirm that, in addition to Poohniverse, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 is also moving ahead. This sequel will have a bigger budget than either of its predecessors, and “will introduce new characters from the original Winnie-the-Pooh stories, including Rabbit, the heffalumps and the woozles.

Winnie the Pooh has been a childhood icon of many for years. Known for his kindness of heart and naiveness, the yellow bear from A. A. Milne and E.H. Shepard’s imagination has been a comfort character for countless children for decades. And so to have it reimagined as a horror and serial murderer character is an absolutely horrendous and baffling idea.

Plot: Not wanting to live in the shadows any longer, Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Owl and Tigger take their fight to the town of Ashdown, leaving a bloody trail of death and mayhem in their wake.
Review: Last year’s Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey proved to be one of the worst horror films of the year. It was my least favorite theatrical experience and completely barren of any passion. It was a dull affair that failed to deliver much on the horror or the fun. So I rolled my eyes when a sequel was announced. Then they reached near the back of my skull when the Poohniverse was announced. But I’m here to tell you that it appears the filmmakers learned their lesson and understand what their films need to be: fun.

The makers of Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey 1 & 2 are at work on another twisted take on A.A. Milne’s children’s story.
The prolific low-budget genre labels Jagged Edge Productions and ITN Films have unveiled plans to swing their bloody axe again with Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, a slasher horror pic set to shoot this year ahead of a 2025 release.
“It will be complete carnage. We are heavily influenced by Freddy Vs Jason and The Avengers. We would love to see a horror movie where the villains group together and are going after their survivors. We have some incredible set pieces in mind and some sequences I think will truly shock people,” Jagged Edge producer Rhys Frake-Waterfield said in a statement.

Winnie the Pooh will be sporting a brand new look in the upcoming slasher sequel Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, which promises to be bigger and bloodier.
The Hollywood Reporter shares the latest sneak peek at Blood and Honey 2 this morning, giving us our first look at the brand new Winnie the Pooh character design.
Returning director Rhys Frake-Waterfield tells the outlet, “This time we have people doing the prosthetics — it’s a company that has worked on Harry Potter’s Voldemort and Star Wars. And they’ve been in charge of the redesigns of the creature. And that’s why Pooh looks a bit more scary. There’s an extra level of detail there.”
He notes that the cost of bringing Pooh to life for the first Blood and Honey was a mere $770, while the sequel’s bigger budget allowed for a $20,000 spend on the character design.

A sequel to this year’s Winnie the Pooh slasher movie, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is on the way soon, and it promises to be bigger, bloodier, and (hopefully) better.
Speaking with Variety this week, returning writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield talks about the increase in budget for the sequel, and how it will allow for more carnage.
“In comparison to the first film everything’s stepped up massively. It’s a horror film. A lot of the times people are going there for the death scenes and for those elements and we’ve really upped the ante,” Frake-Waterfield explains. “I think the last time I did a count there was over 30 deaths in the movie, which is quite substantial compared to most movies. I think that’s at least over three times what the first film had and there’s various massacres and stuff. So there’s...

The murder-mystery renaissance really is in full effect right now. The likes of Only Murders In The Building, Poker Face, and Apple TV’s The Afterparty have been making armchair detectives of us all on the telly side of things, but it’s the big screen sleuthing boom that’s had genre fans flocking to the multiplexes with their magnifying glasses and (presumably) deerstalkers most recently. With whodunnits as wildly varied as Park Chan-wook’s sensual Decision To Leave, the superbly silly See How They Run, Rian Johnson_ – which leans hard into the ‘D’ of DC Comics – on offer, it’s not exactly hard to see why, either.
Now, as we prepare to take enough champagne to fill the, erm, canals of Venice with us to see Kenneth Branagh_, we at Empire HQ have put our tan raincoats on and launched an investigation into the very best the genre has to offer.

Some movies — many movies — are less than the sum of their parts. Downtown Owl, the story of a newbie teacher’s flailing and drinking and heartfelt, awkward encounters in a fictional North Dakota town, has the distinction of being precisely the sum of its parts. That’s not a knock; those ingredients are never less than engaging, driven by a playful and dynamic cinematic sensibility and a strong cast, Lily Rabe holding the center with vibrant luminosity and comic chops to spare. Rabe also steers the movie’s helm, alongside her life partner and fellow actor Hamish Linklater, and the tyro directors manage to thread a tricky needle with their first feature, navigating the chasm and the overlap between agitated and quiet, between cartoon brightness and angst.

We’ve already had a horror-themed take on Winnie The Pooh with Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. Now get ready for a horror-themed take in video game form with Rob C. Davis, Gregg Rahuba and Jared R. Bair’s Hundred Acre Wood, a Lovecraftian Fps that’s coming soon to Steam.
Just like with Blood and Honey, Hundred Acre Wood takes advantage of the new public domain status of A.A. Milne’s classic story. You play as Christopher Robin, who is trapped within a twisted version of the titular forest, which has been altered by an otherworldly power. Making matters worse is that you’re being hunted by an old childhood friend in Winnie The Pooh. It’s up to you to escape with the help of Eldritch Beasts that were once familiar faces. Those “familiar faces” being Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga and Piglet, who don’t quite look like what you remember.
