The "Fast & Furious" franchise is one of the most fascinating things to have happened to Hollywood in the past two decades or so. 2001's "The Fast and the Furious" was essentially a mid-budget "Point Break" knock-off, yet it birthed a massively expensive (and lucrative) property that's become the only real competitor to "Mission Impossible" in terms of outlandish stunts, as well as the only real competitor to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in terms of complex (and often frustrating) lore. This is a franchise where seemingly every other character has a secret family member and where every villain either dies battling the heroes or goes on to join the fambly.
"Fast X" promises to up the ante once again, delivering a blockbuster epic that is the beginning of the end for this beloved and unlikely property. This movie has everything you could ask for from a "Fast & Furious" sequel: fast cars,...

"Fast X" will bring the Toretto gang back together for yet another wild ride: Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson and Nathalie Emmanuel will reunite with Vin Diesel as their respective characters. Brie Larson, Daniela Melchior and Alan Ritchson are also tapping in as new additions. But there are quite a few returning players involved in the production as well, faces that "Fast" fans will likely recognize.
We've already learned that the film's Big Bad, Dante (Jason Momoa) is actually the son of "Fast Five" villain Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida), and it seems that events and characters from other "Fast" films are fair game as well. According to director Louis Leterrier, "Fast X" represents a culmination of the saga. Everything from every "Fast" movie is pretty much on the table, so let's break down all the threads that will continue in the upcoming film.

The "Fast X" trailer is finally here in all of its glory, and from the looks of it, it will be the biggest "Fast & Furious" movie yet. And that is saying something, given that in the previous entry, "F9: The Fast Saga," Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and Tej (Ludacris) went to space in a rocket car to destroy a satellite. The "Fast" series has never been short on ridiculous stunts, and this trailer for the latest movie is just a tiny glimpse of the absurdity that will take place in the film. Marketed as the end of the road, "Fast X" is the first in a two-part conclusion to the franchise, with the trailer featuring a villain meant to serve as a blast from the past, vengeance in the form of Dante (Jason Momoa).

Fewer franchises work as hard as "Fast & Furious" when it comes to crafting high-speed soap opera nonsense. Each new entry begs the question: how the hell are they going to top the insanity of what came before? You'll remember that "F9" saw Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and Tej (Ludacris) driving a rocket-fueled Pontiac Fiero into a satellite while in the reaches of outer space. Everyone made jokes, but this team just went ahead and did it (and consulted with NASA rocket scientists to work out the logistics). Naturally, that leaves so much room for the highly-anticipated "Fast X" to take this journey to the next level.
I think it's safe to say that they have, going off of the ludicrous new "Fast X" trailer. For the past few entries, "Fast & Furious" made their trailer releases an entire event. On top of wanting to put on a show for the...

The gang’s all here in the trailer for Fast X – the first part of what’s expected to be a two film franchise finale for the Fast Family. As per other instalments, the trailer promises a mix of cheese and ass-kicking glory, with Dominic Torretto (Vin Diesel) going up against a new baddie, Jason Momoa’s Dante, with a big grudge. Based on the trailer, it looks like the big Rio heist in Fast Five had dire consequences for Dante, and now he’s kidnapped Dom’s long-lost son, as a way to get some payback. Luckily, Dom’s got his whole family there to help, including his former brother-turned-enemy-turned-friend Jakob (from F9), the Shaws (Jason Statham and Helen Mirren), plus Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty, Jordan Brewster’s Mia, Tyrese’s Roman, Ludacris’s Tej, Nathalie Emmanuel’s Ramsey and even Sung Kang’s Han to help out. Dante has Charlize Theron’s Cipher,...

Start those engines and get the Nos ready because today Universal Pictures has released a brand new trailer for the beginning of the end of the "Fast & Furious" series, "Fast X." The final piece of the story will be told in two parts, finishing up the saga of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his gang of close-knit drivers. The story of racing, heists, and, of course, family, began back in 2001 and has managed to keep people riveted with some unbelievably wild driving sequences that defy logic and physics but are always a whole lot of fun to watch.
This is a big one, with the budget reportedly getting close to 340 million, making it one of the most expensive films of all time, and the most expensive in the franchise. Hey, if you can sustain ten films in the main storyline and the spinoff "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,...

Start your engines, the first “Fast X” trailer has arrived.
The tenth installment in perhaps modern cinema’s unlikeliest franchise is due out on May 19 and while the Super Bowl will have a sixty-second cutdown, Universal has unleashed the entire, nearly 4-minute trailer early. And it’s a whopper (and you can watch it right now in the player).
As is the tradition for a movie built around family, the trailer begins with the introduction of Abuela Toretto – Dom, Jakob and Mia’s grandmother (played by screen legend Rita Moreno). Then, almost right away, we get into the action stuff. This time the big bad is played by Jason Momoa, playing a character named Dante whose life was ruined by Dom and the gang during the events of “Fast Five.”
This goes along with the franchise’s tendency to retcon key events in the history of the series (we see...

Keep your seatbelts on and your fingers crossed — "Fast X" is blazing into theaters later this year and every single member of the sprawling cast is at risk of becoming a casualty of war.
When it comes to this explosive franchise, danger is nothing new: The Toretto family has taken down some mighty villains in their time, and also graduated from the world of street racing to, yes, driving cars in space. When they aren't shattering the laws of physics, their everyday racing lives seem to include multiple explosions, death-defying stunts, and surviving impossible odds. So all things considered, it's shocking that there haven't been even more casualties along the way.
But since no epic saga is allowed to conclude without a couple of major emotional gut-punches, all that is about to change. Picking up after the events of "F9," the upcoming film raises the stakes by uniting Charlize Theron...

After a turbulent production period that saw a change of directors, "Fast X" is nearly here. With the first trailer set to drop tomorrow and tickets already on sale, there's also new information on the film's story, and the Fast Family has some tough times ahead in the penultimate installment. As much as "The Fast & The Furious" has been about family and belonging, it's also been about some pretty outrageous villains that go up against Dominic Toretto. From the corrupt politician Hernan Reyes in "Fast Five" to the Shaw brothers in "Fast & Furious 6" and "Furious 7," there's been many eccentric villains, with some even allying themselves with Dom in later installments. The latest example is Jakob (John Cena), who was one of the main villains of "F9: The Fast Saga," and Dom's brother, yet ended up switching sides at the end of the movie, leading to a reconciliation between him and Dom.

Though we may always know and love her as Dana Scully, Gillian Anderson has been turning in consistently great and versatile TV performances lately, reminding us exactly why we love seeing her on our screens. Her two most notable Netflix roles could not be more different, and yet they perfectly highlight the amount of range Anderson offers as an actor. In season 4 of the awards season darling, "The Crown," which follows the interpersonal drama and exploits of the British Royal Family, she portrayed the ruthless "Iron Lady" herself, Margaret Thatcher. Her turn on "The Crown" earned her high accolades, including an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe win for her supporting performance.
Closely after filming season 4 of "The Crown," Anderson returned to her regular role on her other prominent Netflix show, "Sex Education." In the coming-of-age teen comedy, Anderson plays Doctor Jean Milburn, a renowned sex therapist and the caring...
