Match #1: Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal Match – Bianca Belair def. Tiffany Stratton The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Est took on The Center of the Universe in a magnificent showdown for the chance to move on in the Queen of the Ring Tournament. Bianca Belair seemed to have tweaked her knee in the early going but found the resolve to fight through the pain. Stratton locked on to Belair’s injured knee, using The Est’s braids to take Belair down before sending her crashing knee first into the ring steps. Belair tried for the Kod but Stratton was able to evade it as Belair’s knees gave out. Stratton used her wits to her advantage, distracting the...

Match 1: Women’s World Championship – Rhea Ripley def. Becky Lynch The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Women’s World Championship will remain with Rhea Ripley as Mami defeated The Man to kick off WrestleMania Xl Saturday. Ripley was on a mission not to just defeat Becky Lynch, but humiliate her with an incredible strength advantage. Ever the fighter, Lynch refused to be dominated, battling back in typical Lasskicker fashion. The Man finally gained the upper hand thanks to her resiliency, punctuated by a huge leg drop to the back of the champion’s head, but the power of Ripley allowed her to dump the challenger on her head. Match #1: 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal – Winner: “Big” Bronson Reed The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
“Big” Bronson Reed etched his name in history as he won the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in thrilling fashion. Omos looked like the early favorite as he tossed out Kit Wilson, prompting Elton Prince to voluntarily eliminate himself to join his Pretty Deadly partner and avoid the wrath of The Nigerian Giant. As the field dwindled, Ricochet was poised to take control, but he was shockingly eliminated by Jd McDonagh, who was then promptly superkicked over the top rope by Akira Tozawa. Tozawa, Reed, Ivar and Otis were the final four Superstars, and the Aussie giant stood tall after eliminating the Viking Raider.

Apart from the thrilling matches at WWE, the wrestling industry has often made headlines for lacking female referees, until Jessika Carr made her debut in 2019 during SmackDown. Being the first full-time female referee, Carr has been working with WWE for a long time.

However, despite her unbiased judgment and help, she seems to lack her deserving credit. Take the recent example of WrestleMania 40 when a few fans noticed Jessica Carr helping Damian Priest during the Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match. Apparently, Carr saved Priest from a scary botch by informing him about his ladder. And yet, rarely anyone offered Carr the credit for helping.

WrestleMania 40’s night one in Philadelphia was a spectacle of high-octane wrestling that lived up to the grandeur expected of such a storied event. The evening was headlined by a tag team match featuring Roman Reigns and The Rock against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, which delivered an electrifying performance, setting a dramatic tone for the rest Wrestlemania weekend! The stakes were incredibly high, with the outcome influencing the main event of night two, adding a layer of strategic depth to the match. Roman Reigns and The Rock took the win and if Cody Rhodes is going to “finish the story” he will be playing now by the Bloodline’s rules for night two!
The Bloodline’s presence was felt throughout the night, particularly in the emotionally charged match between estranged twin brothers Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso, which showcased a personal family drama unfolding in the ring.

We were lucky enough to be in attendance for the Smackdown taping in Philadelphia. The taping happened at the Wells Fargo Center which is directly across the street from Lincoln Financial Field which will be hosting WrestleMania 40 over the weekend.

WWE 2K24 finally launched recently, and it is definitely making all the wrestling fans happy. Its updated roaster and its incredible visuals are no doubt something to be excited about. Besides those obvious changes, this game also brings a bunch of new game modes, such as the ambulance match, and new moves, such as the ability to throw weapons at opponents.
While all these things no doubt make this game something that every WWE fan out there must have, just like every previous game in this long-running series, there’s something that not every fan would agree with, and that is the overall ratings of some of the wrestlers. Here are five WWE stars who deserve a better rating in WWE 2K24.

Although the wrestling shows organized by WWE are widely loved and watched by fans worldwide, there are still controversies surrounding it from people who aren’t willing to believe otherwise: The wrestling seen onscreen is nothing but a fake, scripted event. These arguments have noticeably enraged many wrestlers over the years, with its most recent victim being Austin Theory.

My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – The Kabuki Warriors def. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Dialing the clock back to 2019, The Kabuki Warriors are once again your new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Chance and Carter threw caution to the wind in their defense but were unable to vanquish Asuka and Kairi Sane.

It has been a busy week for the WWE. Not only did the company announce a major move that will see its flagship weekly show move to Netflix in 2025, but the company’s founder Vince McMahon also found himself at the center of yet another controversy that led to his exit from the company. However, on Saturday, Jan. 27, neither of those stories will matter as the WWE superstars will compete in one of the most beloved matches of each and every year, the Royal Rumble. You will not want to miss any of the action when it kicks off on Peacock at 8 p.m. Et. In addition to the men’s and women’s rumbles, there will be a match for the United States title and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. You can watch with a subscription to Peacock.

You can’t see him but his time for retirement may soon be now, as 16-time WWE world champion John Cena says he can see hanging up the boots – and jorts – in his future.
Speaking with People, John Cena said bidding farewell to the squared circle is imminent. “I turned [46] this past year and I don’t have much time left in the WWE…I think it’s just the demand of the age.” As for how and when he thinks his wrestling career will be over, he added, “You know, I’m trying to figure out when to close that chapter.”
Based on the fact that John Cena has been a part-time free agent (not to be confused with Freelance wrestler) for quite some time now – his most recent match was a loss at November’s Crown Jewel – it wouldn’t be a surprise if 2024 was his year for departing WWE.

Match #1: Angel and Humberto def. Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Lwo is still reeling from Santos Escobar’s brutal betrayal, and now they must deal with the added threat of Angel and Humberto. Escobar’s newest teammates sent a message by defeating Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro and doing it in a controversial fashion. As the Superstars battled inside the ring, Carlito appeared and attacked Escobar, but it led to more problems for Wilde and Del Toro. In the chaos, Garza rolled up Wilde and grabbed the ropes for leverage in order to secure the pinfall victory.

Match #1: United States Championship Tournament – Carmelo Hayes def. Grayson Waller The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Nxt Superstar has come to SmackDown and stunned Grayson Waller to advance in the United States Championship Tournament. The brash Waller used his size advantage to down the athletic Hayes, but it would only take mere moments for Melo to prove that he is Him. One quick counter led to a First 48, and the WWE Universe was treated to a Nothing But Net leg drop from the top rope that saw Hayes punch his ticket to the semi-finals.

Match #1: Bobby Lashley def. Butch The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Though Joaquin Wilde was looking for retribution for the vicious attack on WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar drove his former Lwo cohort into the canvas for the three-count. Could you smell what The Rock was cooking?
That smell emanated from Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado on Friday, Sept. 15, during a taping of “WWE Smackdown”, when Dwayne Johnson surprised the crowd by making an unannounced return to the ring.
This marked his first time at a WWE event in four years; his last WWE appearance was during the “SmackDown” 20th anniversary show in October 2019.
Earlier that day, reported Fox News, Johnson was in nearby Boulder, for a daytime appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show”, and stepped into the ring that night.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returned Friday night for the WWE Friday Night Smackdown at the Ball Arena in Denver, Co. As might be expected, the crowd went wild, resulting in a four-minute standing ovation for the actor, who is currently out of work in his day gig.
Pat McAfee helped goose the event appearance. “This is the people’s show. And you know what that means,” McAfee said as The Rock made his entrance .
The match featured The Rock against Austin Theory.
The Rock hasn’t appeared on Smackdown since 2019, since he’s been busy making movies. But he hasn’t forgotten the wrestling script.
When Theory started to antagonize him, asking, “Do you know whose ring you’re in?” The Rock responded. “Shut your bitch-ass up. You clearly don’t know how all this works.”
He then doffed his jacket and roared, “Finally, The Rock has come back to Denver!

“You can’t see me!” may be his catchphrase but that might soon be a reality, as WWE superstar and all-around incredible guy John Cena says that his retirement is imminent.
In an interview during last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, John Cena told viewers, “As I said out there in the ring, the last one is not tonight, but I know it’s soon…Every single chance I get to go out there becomes more and more special. There is no denying the fact that I’m 46 and staring down 47. I’ve been here for over two decades. As I said out there in the ring, the last one is not tonight, but I know it’s soon. To speak candidly, when you’re involved in this every day in a full-time capacity, you just think about what’s next.” His return to weekly television is expected to be a temporary one,...

Match #1: Austin Theory def. LA Knight The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Austin Theory became the No. 1 Contender to the United States Championship after The Miz showed up to Friday Night SmackDown and cost LA Knight the match. Knight was on a mission to prove a point, especially with The Miz at ringside, as he bashed Theory’s face on the announce table right in front of The A-Lister. Sick and tired of Knight’s success, The Miz hopped off of commentary, and his distraction allowed Theory to roll up Knight and win the match, securing his championship opportunity.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Asuka & Charlotte Flair def. Bayley & Iyo Sky The following is courtesy of wwe.com:...

Match #1: LA Knight def. Sheamus The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
LA Knight backed up his trash talk and his megastar status by defeating Sheamus in front of a few of his opponents for the SummerSlam Battle Royal. Sheamus didn’t take Knight’s pre-match barbs lightly as he brutalized the megastar, even hitting a back-breaking White Noise onto the rock-hard apron. The other competitors in the Battle Royal started surrounding the ringside area, and due to confusion and chaos caused by the Superstars, Knight hit Blunt Force Trauma and came away victorious.
