Update, 1:58 Pm: Jonathan Majors will not be testifying in his own defense in his domestic violence trial.
After just a few hours today, the defense just rested its case in the Manhattan courtroom of Judge Michael Gaffey. With the outcome unknown until the very end, the Creed III actor was eventually not called as a witness. There had been rumors that Majors would give his perspective on what went down on March 25 between him and then girlfriend Grace Jabbari, but in the end, his team played it safe.
Majors’ WME agent Elan Ruspoli was the final defense witness, detailing conversations and correspondence he had with his client in and around the night in question.
Arrested by the NYPD that March weekend, Majors has entered a plea of not guilty in the matter. If the jury of three men and three women convict him, the Loki star could face up...

Entering the second week of Jonathan Majors domestic violence trial, the Loki actor’s phone and texts have become central to both the prosecution and defense cases.
Put bluntly, the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and the defense team have very different perspectives on the alleged assault by Majors in late March on his then longtime girlfriend. However, as was evident today and has been clear even before the trial began on December 4, both sides admit whatever happened that night erupted out of Grace Jabbari seeing texts on the actor’s phone from another woman that read “I wish I were kissing you.”
Things escalated quickly after that.
Today, with Majors in court at the defense table, the driver of the car the duo were in when Jabbari saw those texts recounted her version of what went down.

Text messages Jonathan Majors sent to his ex girlfriend Grace Jabbari were presented to the jury on Friday (December 8) amid his ongoing assault trial.
If you were unaware, the 34-year-old Marvel star was accused of assaulting Grace during a dispute in March. He faces charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment and harassment but has continued to deny the charges.
Some of the former couple’s text messages were entered into the evidence while Grace was being questioned. They were previously deemed inadmissible. However, the messages seem to allude to another incident of assault that took place months before Jonathan was arrested.
Keep reading to find out more…
The text messages are from September 2022. In them, Grace discusses going to a doctor to receive medical attention for injuries. Jonathan cautions her against going out of fear that she would be questioned about how she was injured. He also threatened to commit suicide.

Testifying for the third day in a row in Jonathan Majors’ domestic violence trial, the actor’s ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari reached a breaking point Thursday.
Under cross-examination from defense lawyer Priya Chaudhry and with Majors seated close by, Jabbari left Judge Michael Gaffey’s courtroom this afternoon in tears upon being shown police body-camera footage of the NYPD responding to the Magazine Dreams star’s 911 call in late March.
Dropped by his management and PR company soon after he was arrested for the incident, Majors could get up to a year behind bars if found guilty on the misdemeanor charges against his ex of two years.
The actor has insisted on his innocence, and his attorneys have repeatedly said Jabbari was the aggressor in the relationship and on the night of March 24 – even going so far as to file a cross-complaint against her in June. With the Manhattan Da’s...

“It’s felt like the abuse that I was in has just not ended,” said Grace Jabbari today in court of the personal aftermath of Jonathan Majors’ arrest on domestic abuse charges against her back in March.
The British National continued her testimony in Majors’ trial of what occurred on March 25 in New York City with her then boyfriend and how fraught the relationship with the Creed III star had been beforehand.
Under questioning from Manhattan District Attorney’s office and later from the defense, Jabbari may have had to pause on occasion because she became so upset over questions about another ex’s suicide and more. Yet, at the same time, the self-described “professional dancer” who dated Majors for almost two years was steely adamant about who put hands on who and why eight months ago.

Grace Jabbari took the witness stand Tuesday, telling her version of the events that led to the arrest and subsequent charges against her ex-partner Jonathan Majors.
Majors faces four charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment and harassment after police responded to a 911 call and Jabbari reported being assaulted by Majors, with police noting that she had sustained minor injuries. The Marvel actor has pleaded not guilty to all charges and his defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry, has claimed Majors called 911 out of concern for Jabbari’s well-being.
Prosecutors have alleged that the March 25 incident began after midnight, when Majors and Jabbari were in a private car home and she observed a text message on Majors’ phone stating, “Wish I was kissing you right now.”
Jabbari confirmed this version of events, saying she was shocked by the possibility of infidelity given the seriousness of their two-year relationship, which she said was heading toward marriage.
