While a theme for The Challenge: All Stars 5 has not arrived online, some fans have started to piece together the possibilities.
Spoilers began to emerge within the past few weeks, revealing an intriguing cast featuring MTV OGs and some non-MTV stars.
The Paramount+ spin-off had typically featured only stars who appeared on MTV shows Fresh Meat, Road Rules, and The Real World, with Kam Williams becoming the first former Are You The One? cast member on Season 4.
However, spoilers for Season 5 showed a handful of cast members from CBS’ Big Brother and other reality TV shows joining the All Stars spin-off.
While many fans weren’t pleased with that cast format change, the potential theme and team setup could interest viewers.

In reality TV, trailers often serve as tantalizing appetizers, whetting the audience’s appetite for drama. This is especially true for fans of The Challenge: USA, who recently found themselves grappling with a letdown: a major fight between contestants Josh Martinez and Faysal Shafaat was teased but never aired.
The clash, hinted at in the show’s promotional material, sparked many theories and debates among viewers. It raises questions about the editorial choices of producers, especially when such moments could arguably enhance the season’s narrative arc.
A major fight between Josh Martinez and Faysal Shafaat got cut from season 2 of ‘The Challenge: USA’
Fans of The Challenge know all too well the frustration of having buzzworthy moments hinted at in trailers but snipped out of the final broadcast. It’s a common issue in reality TV, but it’s particularly annoying for fans who crave the full dramatic story.

The Challenge: USA Season 2 was not a good time to be Big Brother. Sure, there are still two players who come from that show, but Faysal Shafaat and Josh Martinez are also allied with the vets, due to their time on the MTV side of the franchise. Here, Tyler talks his strategy, campaigning to go into elimination to protect Alyssa Snider earlier this season, and more. With those times, that was the fastest elimination this season, right? Tyler Crispen: Yeah, I think I was a part of the longest elimination so far and the shortest. That was a quick one. Do you think there’s anything you could’ve done differently ...

Since it might only take one ball in the hopper to send someone down to elimination on The Challenge: USA, having six in there is just asking for trouble. Such was the case for Sebastian Noel. What didn’t help him: He tried campaigning to get votes for Cory Wharton to face Chris Underwood, one of the nominations by daily winners Tori Deal and Faysal Shafaat. (The other was Cassidy Clark.) That was the only vote for Lopez, but her ball came out of the hopper, and so she faced off against Clark and lost in Block Heads. The Challenge veteran Nelson Thomas has changed his image in recent seasons as he’s turned into one of the more selfless and loyal players. However, Ride or Dies winner Tori Deal said he “snapped” at her during the season.
Tori Deal said Nelson Thomas ‘snapped’ at her during ‘The Challenge: Ride or Dies’
After getting disqualified from 2017’s The Challenge: Dirty 30 for fighting, Nelson Thomas hasn’t gotten into any more physical altercations on the show. Additionally, his recent selfless acts, including throwing himself into elimination to save friend Cory Wharton, have created a redemption arc for him.

The Challenge rotates returning players and rookies for each season. Depending on the theme, viewers might not see a favorite for a few seasons. Here are five recent competitors who should return for next season.
Olivia Kaiser and Horacio Gutiérrez
The rookie standouts landed in back-to-back eliminations almost immediately after entering the competition and won both. They earned the respect of the house and avoided the Zone until episode 8 when her fling Nelson Thomas opted to save his rival Fessy Shafaat over her.
Regardless, with the help of the house, they sent home targets Jay Starrett and Michele Fitzgerald. When they split into teams, Horacio found himself in the Zone twice, and he eliminated Kenny Clark and three-time champ Jordan Wiseley, tying a franchise record for most elimination wins in a season.
Sounds like Olivia and Horacio balance out each other well! But can they stay on the same page while on The Challenge?...

The Challenge veteran Amanda Garcia last competed in Spies, Lies, and Allies, where she hooked up with Fessy Shafaat, and they attempted a relationship after the show. They have since split, and Amanda has reunited with her ex Ray Reinhardt. After skipping season 38’s Ride or Dies, she might have hinted at a return.
Amanda Garcia hints at return to ‘The Challenge’
During last season’s Spies, Lies, and Allies, Amanda Garcia nearly made the finals before Tori Deal eliminated her shortly beforehand. She then skipped Ride or Dies as veteran Nelson Thomas claimed he initially reached out to partner with her for the season.
The Colorado native tweeted that she didn’t watch Ride or Dies but congratulated Devin Walker for getting his first win, conveniently leaving out Tori.
Question…. Are steroids vegan? ???

During the Double Agents reunion, Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat and Devin Walker got into a heated exchange when discussing their final placements throughout their time on the show.
While Fessy insisted he’s a “good competitor,” Devin pointed out that Fessy has finished as a fourth-place finalist in back-to-back seasons, the only ones he’s competed in, noting that the Are You the One? alum has also finished last in the finals. Therefore, Devin thinks they’re on the same level. However, Fessy claimed that his co-star would never win a season.
