There will be minor spoilers for "Star Wars: The Living Force" by John Jackson Miller.
"Star Wars: The Living Force" is the latest novel released by Del Rey Worlds and Lucasfilm, carrying forward the legacy of the "Star Wars" universe. Set before the events of "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace," this novel sees Qui-Gon Jinn taking the council to task for the disarray in the universe. The Jedi are paying too much attention to the bigger picture of the Cosmic Force and ignoring the individuals in the galaxy and the whims of the Living Force.
As the Jedi are closing temples on far-flung worlds because the galaxy has only grown larger and their resources haven't expanded, Qui-Gon discovers that closing temples increases crime and reduces the quality of life in the systems where it's happening. He's able to challenge the Jedi Council to go on a space road trip to...

"The Clone Wars" cartoon introduced the Togruta padawan who won the hearts of many fans. George Lucas created Ahsoka Tano to give the famed Anakin Skywalker an apprentice, thus kickstarting a game-changing piece of canon outside of his "Star Wars" feature trilogies. Originated and voiced by Ashley Eckstein, the Togruta entered "Star Wars" with a coming-of-age arc that endured across several "Star Wars" cartoons, texts, and now the live-action realm beginning with "The Mandalorian" (portrayed in the flesh by Rosario Dawson).
The upcoming live-action "Ahsoka" series, developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, seems both exciting and daunting for Star Wars fans, since it heralds the live-action iterations of the fan-favorite Spectres of the Ghost crew in the "Star Wars Rebels" cartoon. If you want to (re)familiarize yourself with Ahsoka and her allies, /Film has gathered the necessary textual and illustrated projects you should read before the new show premieres.

We're never going to run out of "Star Wars" galaxy to explore, and we're never going to run out of arguments about which characters are more deserving of the spotlight than others. Most of these fights come out of love for characters we've connected to somehow. It may be a touching story or a weird one, but "Star Wars" is big enough for everyone to share their own tales of what the franchise means to them.
It's fun that we're getting a bunch of new announcements every year again after the long pause between movie arcs. With all these new stories on the way, including the next Cal Kestis game, "Jedi: Survivor," and "The Acolyte" series coming to Disney+, it may feel a little greedy to suggest even more shows or movies we'd like to see. I don't think all of these will happen. Although, in a couple of cases,...

There will be major spoilers for "Andor" Episode 4.
There are a lot of planets name dropped in this new episode of "Andor." From future capital of the galaxy Hosnian Prime to Jason Fry's Eufornis Major, one planet stands above them as a clue to a story playing out in parallel in the background of "Andor." That planet is none other than Scarif, the site of Cassian Andor's eventual heist of the Death Star plans in"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."
Scarif is a tropical world home to the Imperial Archives and Citadel tower and looks like it would be a dream vacation for most. Much of it was leveled when Grand Moff Tarkin ordered a single reactor ignition blast on the planet in order to prevent the loss of the Death Star plans. Thankfully for the Rebels, that plan didn't work, but the Death Star had a much...

This Star Trek: Strange New Worlds article contains spoilers.
Captain Pike’s USS Enterprise never had a consistent chief engineer. While Scotty lovingly took care of the engines of the Enterprise during Captain Kirk’s five-year mission (and for at least two decades after that), Pike had a hard time keeping someone down there with the dilithium crystals consistently. And, in the newest episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, that odd tradition continues with a heartbreaking death nobody saw coming.
Although Strange New Worlds seemed to establish a new fan-favorite chief engineer in the form of Hemmer (Bruce Horak), the ending of “All Those Who Wander” tragically finds Hemmer sacrificing himself to save the crew. After getting infected with Gorn eggs, Hemmer jumps off an ice cliff, presumably to freeze out the Gorn, and probably, never to return. It’s an unexpected gut punch from Strange New Worlds and...

The International Association of Media Tie-In Writers (Iamtw) recognizes the wide range of authors who work on media tie-ins. Often overlooked, these writers craft exciting tales using beloved characters and settings of franchises including the likes of Mike Hammer, Firefly, Murder She Wrote, James Bond, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and Star Trek. These stories can be original adventures, or adaptations of movies or television episodes. They include all genres and a wide range of lengths and formats.
To recognize the accomplishments of the unsung authors in this particular field, the Iamtw sponsors the annual Scribe Awards. This year’s awards have six categories to highlight excellence in Novels, Short Stories, Audio Dramas, Young Adult/Middle Grade works, and Graphic Novels.
Congratulations to all the nominees.

One of the more significant mysteries in Star Trek: Discovery was where the USS Enterprise traveled to before being found in season 2. The introduction of the Enterprise crew, including Mr. Spock and Commander Pike, proved crucial to events in the sophomore season of the show, but up to now we didn’t get much from the series about what took place before their meeting with the USS Discovery. A new novel, however, titled Star Trek: Discovery – The Enterprise War, has finally revealed the backstory to the Enterprise’s mission.
We already know that the Enterprise missed the Federation-Klingon war of season 1 due to being in deep space, but according to ComicBook.com, John Jackson Miller’s Enterprise War fleshes out the story by placing Pike’s ship in the Pergamum Nebula, and therefore cut off from standard communications with Starfleet. Once alerted to the war, Pike wanted to return, but...
