Steve Nieve was born on 19 February 1958 in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, England, UK. He used his imagination and guile to guide his characters as they adventured through fantasy lands.
Ben enjoys skiing, scuba diving, watching FIA GT motor sport & 24 Heures du Mans and has on occasion been found at a Casino roulette table. Most recently discovering a love for watching Ice Hockey with friends while living in Canada.
Ben was born in Bishop's Stortford, England where he resided albeit briefly, before moving numerous times all over the UK. In love with Canada since his teens, he finally leaped the Atlantic when choosing his vocational drama school. Ben studied Acting for Film and Television at Vancouver Film School, British Columbia. Before going to Canada Ben performed on stage in several roles with Nantwich Players community theater.
Ben is a graduate of York University with a B.Sc. Honours in Chemistry. University was where he first came into contact with acting folk. At University, Ben was also President and Treasurer of the University Ski Club; a member of their Slalom Race team, qualifying for the UK National University Slalom finals.
Post graduation, he moved into IT where he has worked as Technical Director for several companies for 12 years setting strategy and directing the destiny of these companies. He also managed to find time to fit in being Chairman and board member of the main Internet Exchange point in Manchester for four years. He has helped to develop and shape the landscape of Internet Services in the UK.
After juggling his time between his love for acting and these multiple simultaneous IT hats for a period of 4 years, in 2006 he made the decision to focus on his passion and made the jump into professional acting.
In addition to focusing on Acting for Film and Television, where he would ultimately like to focus his career in both Independent and Feature Films, he also continues to work on his Voice Over Acting skills for both Commercial, Documentary and Anime projects. - Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
