Astrid Villaume was born on 3 November 1923 in Denmark. She was an actress, known for Susanne (1950), Qivitoq (1956) and Anna Sophie Hedvig (1975). She was married to Carl Magnus von Staffeldt. She died on 12 February 1995 in Denmark.- Nat Holman was one of the most legendary basketball players and coaches in the history of the game. He was also one of the most accurate shooters who ever played and contributed heavily to the sport's development. Among his achievements as a pro was as a member of the Original Celtics in the 1920s. Simultaneously and afterward, he coached the City College of New York Beavers from 1919 to 1960. Holman's most legendary achievement, however, was that he coached the CCNY team that won both the NCAA and NIT championship tournaments in 1950--the only team ever to do so. After his retirement, Holman was enshrined at the Basketball Hall of Fame on 1 October 1964. He spent his later years as the president of the United States Committee of Sports for Israel, the organization that sponsors the US Maccabiah Games team. Holman's last years were spent at the Hebrew Home for the Aged, a nursing home in the Bronx, where he died of natural causes.

Anthony Mayer was born on 30 September 1932 in Manchester, England, UK. He was a director and writer, known for The Commanding Sea (1980), Crossroads of Civilisation: The Story of Iran (1978) and Travels in Europe with Rick Steves (1991). He was married to Sarah Hobson and Maharaj Kumari Jyotsna Devi. He died on 12 February 1995 in London, England, UK.- Jeanne Marleau (sometimes also known as Jeanne Marlo) performed in Dutch rep and revues in the years just after the war and the early Fifties. She shared the stage with famous names (in Holland) such as Lou Bandy and the Kilima Hawaijans. She married in 1955, had children and because of her illness (reumatoid arthritis) led a quiet life until the film Maria came along in the early Eighties. Director/writer/actor Peter Jan Rens asked her to play the part of Maria, which she did sat in a wheel chair because by that time she had also been diagnosed with MS. It was to be her last performance. She retired to anonymity in the Dutch countryside. On February 12th 1995 she died suddenly of a heart attack.
