Born in Los Angeles almost a year after the start of Great Depression. Bob (whose nickname 'Bobs' was given to him by his father, and for legal and professional reasons he adopted professionally) is from a family of 9 siblings; 6 boys and 3 girls. He made his first on-screen appearance as a (literal) babe in arms in Life Begins (1932). Watson received the sobriquet 'cry-baby' for his ability to cry on-cue. Watson is best known as "Pee Wee" from Boys Town (1938). Later in the mid-late 60's Watson left the film industry entirely and entered the Claremont School of Theology. Later he became a Methodist minister in Burbank and La Canada. Watson retired in 1997 and passed away in 1999, succumbing to prostate cancer- Siegfried Lowitz was born on 22 September 1914 in Berlin, Germany. - Truus van Aalten was a Dutch girl who won a magazine competition in 1926 and found herself acting in a movie in Berlin. Her bosses soon realized that she was a gifted comedienne, and she went on to make many silent movies. She became very popular all over Europe and moved successfully into sound films.
When the Nazis came to power they stopped her working. They then tried to use her in propaganda movies, but she refused - and she eventually had to give up her career.
She tried to make a comeback in films after WW2, but without success. She became a businesswoman in the 1950s and married in 1964. Her last years were marred by mental illness, and she died in the Dutch town of Warmond in 1999. - Marion Motley is an American football fullback and linebacker who played for the Cleveland Browns in the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) and National Football League (NFL). He was a leading pass-blocker and rusher in the late 1940s and early 1950s, and ended his career with an average of 5.7 yards per carry, a record for running backs that still stands. A versatile player who possessed both quickness and size, Motley was a force on both offense and defense. Motley was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1968.
