Frank A. Gregg was born on 9 October 1922 in South Carolina, USA. He is known for A Bridge Too Far (1977), D-Day to Victory (2011) and Battle Honours (2021). After retiring from the Army in 1983, he led the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance and was appointed to head the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
He attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania on a football scholarship.
