- Small-time criminal Darren returns to Dublin to celebrate his brother Robbie's release from prison. After Robbie is gunned down, tensions mount as Darren plans for revenge and brings John Boy Power back into his life.
- Darren Tracey (Robert Sheehan) is returning to Ireland for a weekend to celebrate his brother's release from prison. Darren has been living in Spain, on the run from charges of gun possession. Tommy (Killian Scott) is meant to collect Darren's brother from outside the prison but gets sidetracked by Darren's sister Mary (Ruth Bradley). When one of the gang is brutally murdered, tensions run high and revenge is on everyone's mind.
- Darren closes in on the truth about the death of his brother Robbie which causes tension within his gang as he also faces up to his feelings for Rosie. But Stumpy has other ideas and takes his anger and frustration out on Rosie much to John Boy's displeasure. Meanwhile, John Boy finds out that it was his half-brother Hughie who killed Darren's brother.
- Nidge and Trish get married but their wedding day is ruined by the appearance of John Boy and Hughie at the reception and Hughie wastes no time in making his presence felt. Darren is shot at by Elmo on John Boy's orders but he manages to shoot Elmo in the process. The tension escalates between Darren and John Boy but after Hughie accidentally shoots himself dead a truce is reached. But how long will it hold?
- A year after his shooting, Darren is left plagued by nightmares and with one functioning lung. But he's getting his life back together, hoping to get back with his beloved Rosie (now living in London) and doing some work for up-and-coming cigarette smuggler and loan shark Fran.
- The crew are in festive spirits as Trish has the baby on Christmas Eve, while Rosie has come back to Dublin and Darren falls in love with her again. The gang war is still raging. A hit goes terribly wrong.
- As tensions come to a head the gang threatens to implode: Luke's obsession with Mary is becoming more dangerous, while Siobhan's panic attack at the airport could get Tommy killed. John Boy finds Debbie taking heroin.
- Nidge swiftly fills the power vacuum and gets the gang back to business as usual. Rosie realises what her lover has become. Mary finds Luke lurking in her bedroom at night.
- Disaster strikes the gang as a drug mixing factory is busted by the gardai. Darren, desperate to get out of the game, robs an ATM machine and makes a downpayment to John Boy against the debt he owes.
- When a container of drugs is busted at the docks, John Boy decides to double cross Fran on their deal. Fran retaliates. John Boy is furious and orders Nidge to pipe bomb Fran's house.
- When one of his gang is mistakenly shot by a rival organisation, Nidge plays the diplomat but a mad drunken Paddy's night slides out of control towards disaster.
- Nidge sets out to persuade Dano that he had nothing to do with his father's disappearance, but a scapegoat must be found. Nidge turns to ever faithful Darren for help.
- Pressure builds as Dano's superiors send a chilling inquisitor down to Dublin and Nidge's lies start to catch up with him.
- The police finally put the jigsaw pieces together and the net closes in on Nidge as he finds himself caught between the cops on one hand and a vengeful Dano on the other.
- Fearful of Dano's revenge, Nidge has moved the family out to a hotel. He reconciles with Darren, paying him a proportion of the money he owes, as his old friend - still on the run - plans to leave the country imminently.
- Nidge struggles to allay Dano's suspicions when his secret threatens to get out as Siobhan and Elmo, for different reasons, start to talk.
- Nidge sees an opportunity to import a large consignment of drugs after an incident at the brothel. Meanwhile Tommy struggles after his accident.
- Detective Mick Moynihan sets a new undercover operation to track Nidge and the gang and bring him down, Fran is afraid Tommy will crack.
- Fran is still worried about going down for the tiger kidnapping and looks for someone to blame, which leads challenging Nidge's leadership.
- Nidge has both Moynihan's surveillance operation and the IRA closing in on him. Fran meanwhile wants revenge for the loss of his teeth.
- A paranoid Nidge must clear his mind before the drug import that Moynihan has his eyes and ears on, meanwhile Siobhan is offered help by Detective Moynihan for Tommy's sake.
- The last shipment of drugs are about to arrive into Dublin Port with Nidge unaware that Moynihan and his crew are following his steps.
- Nidge goes to Spain.
- With Pauley's help, Nidge is back in business and arrangements are made for the first shipment under the new deal.
- There is now a hit out on Fran. Nidge grows ever more paranoid and Siobhan is struggling with all the deception and lying involved in her double life.
- Nidge makes a surprise visit to the prison. Patrick finds he is the target once again from Nidges gang.
- Siobhan meets the notorious Terence. Nidge searches for the rat in his gang and Fran suddenly needs medical attention.
- Episode 6 Nidge is summoned back to Spain, where Terence demands a terrible price for his continued support, while Siobhan and Moynihan reach an unholy deal of their own.
