- A 21-year-old man is found dead from stab wounds, in a place where prostitutes picked up customers. He worked for his 15-year-old girlfriend's parents, who run a dry cleaners. They knew nothing about the relationship.
- An elderly man was sailed down, by a young couple in a motor boat, a few years earlier. He subsequently died. Now one of the young people has been killed.

Furthermore, the victim's little brother, Georg Büsing, who lives in the same house, is the one who found the body and it is he who assures Finn and Schwartenbeck that Falk had many enemies.
