- The Lone Wolf Michael Lanyard takes Inspector Crane's challenge that he can't keep out of trouble for 24 hours. No sooner accepted when Lanyard is sucked into a case of murder and kidnapping in which he is sole suspect. Lanyard pursues the perpetrators, a gang of cunning thieves with engraving plates belonging to the U.S. Treasury, even as he is being hunted by police.

After being familiarized with his fiancée Janet and him, we find Quizz at a gun position fighting off the Japanese along the Philippine shoreline. The situation becomes hopeless for Quizz and his fellow gunners and it's either flee or hold their positions and provide cover for escapees. To make his decision, Quizz communes with his mother and Janet through the medium of dreams.
- After graduation from college, John Hawley (Richard Jaeckel) takes a job in Mexico for a mining company. John's wife Betty (Lisa Daniels) is pregnant and desperate to have their child in a hospital in America. Hence, John agrees to accept $1,000 to drive over rutted dirt roads in an old rickety truck, loaded with nitroglycerin, to a mine cave-in many miles off.
