This short film was released in September of 1908 and was adapted from a portion of Tennyson's poem, 'Enoch Arden'. The story is about a love triangle (the leading lady falls for her sweetheart's best friend when she hears that her sweetheart has died at sea), and the first lover ends up the worst.
