The restored film was given a west coast premiere at Cinecon (Egyptian Theater, Hollywood) on August 29, 2014 with an introduction by film historian and Pickford biographer Jeffrey Vance. Vance maintained that Pickford wrote the film's scenario as well as acted in the production.
This film was believed to be lost, until a copy was discovered in New Hampshire (USA) in 2006. It was found along with six other vintage movies in a barn that had formerly been part of a summer camp. It is thought the reels were shown to entertain the campers.
The US Library of Congress is funding a project to restore the nitrate film.
