Allan Dwan offers another "Calamity Ann" short subject in which the formidable, middle-aged Ann has her tenderer passions touched, when Jack Richardson kills Marshall Neilan for no clear reason and takes his widowed sister Jessalyn van Trump to an outlaw camp, where Ann and a pursuing J. Walter Kerrigan lay down the law.

For an engineer, director Dwan has a great sense of composition. He uses trees and a couple of horses to frame one shot and sets up half a dozen outlaws to define a mass later on. Either that or the uncredited cameraman is very good. Louise Lester is very amusing as Calamity Ann and the short is over before you have time to get bored.
