DeMille and the Stage
Single-Black-Male12 December 2003
The 33 year old Cecil B. DeMille achieved success on the broadway stage with this play, and brought it to the screen under the guiding hand of James Kirkwood. He probably made a better stage director and writer rather than a film director and writer because this film just does not stand the test of time.
