Hughie Mack, James Lackaye, and Miss Josie Sadler, by reason of individual merit as makers of mirth, will save this two-reeler in most houses. The story is loosely constructed and the comedy situations which have been planned by the scenario writer are not always funny. Mack's "mugging" and other purely individual hits from members of the cast, rather than the general idea of the picture, the production, or the photography, are to be commended. - The Moving Picture World, June 27, 1914
