Sultry La Belle Rose ( Lillian Lorraine ) sets out to seduce and steal Jack Holmes ( Henry King ) away from his devoted wife Mary ( Mabel Van Buren ). While madly pursuing the alluring vamp, Jack foolishly lavishes every penny of his family fortune on La Belle, almost reducing his wife to begging in the streets. A jealous suitor murders La Belle with the evidence pointing to Jack. However, at the last moment Jack receives a last-act reprieve in the form of a letter indicating the sultry La Belle had long intended to commit suicide. Apparently the last reel of this lost film asks the audience via a subtitle, their opinion if the wife should indeed forgive her cheating husband.
