A young woman becomes aware that there are moonshiners who have evaded the authorities. Pretending to be an artist, she volunteers to head into the woods and check them out. She befriends a woman whose son is a rum runner. Her intentions are good, but she is soon in over her head and is discovered by the other moonshiners. This leads to a kind of clumsy romance and a reclamation of the morality of this time. Of course, Prohibition was a total failure.
