- Mark Bullway is discouraged by the shiftlessness of his son Harry ( Jack Pickford ), whose only goal in life is the pursuit of a good time. Bullway's secretary, Prue Winn ( Priscilla Bonner ), is in love with the young good for nothing, but he fails to return her affections. One day while father and son are out driving, Harry nearly runs over Matt Sills, a blind man. In response to a heartless remark flung at him by the youth, Sills bestows upon him the beggar's curse, "May you always have everything that you want." Impressed by Sills's strange words, Bullway seeks the blind man's advice, which is that the best way to reform Harry is to give him everything he wants. Bullway follows Sills's suggestion, paying adventuress Leonore Pennell to make his son happy. At the end of four days, Leonore drops Harry, forcing the youth to realize that he has been wasting his time. Harry then reforms, accepting both a job in his father's factory and Prue's love.—Pamela Short
