Tragic Lost Film

Warning: Spoilers
Arizona Senator Baldwin ( Willard Louis ) is entranced by a beautiful charming widow, but she refuses to marry him as long as his daughter is single. Judith ( Mary Miles Minter ) his daughter, says she would prefer a trial marriage properly chaperoned at the Baldwins' country lodge. She soon finds Congressman Hamil ( Guy Oliver ) very boring, but the liveryman notifies the Washington press that they have eloped. Robert V. Courtney, ( William Boyd ) her other suitor, arrives early at the lodge, and the news also brings Ted Musgrove, ( Monte Blue ) Baldwin's ranch manager who has always loved Judith. Meanwhile, Baldwin, who has secretly married the widow, arrives at the lodge; and after the turmoil, Judith finally decides that Ted is her man.

Based on a 1919 Broadway play, Moonlight and Honeysuckle starring Mary Miles Minter was a silent romantic comedy film produced and released by the Realart Company. This film also featured William Boyd, well known as Hopalong Cassidy and silent leading man Monte Blue whose long acting career spanned many decades. Sadly this film remains lost.
