Stuntman Jack Jones was driving a wagon at a fast pace when the seat collapsed and he was thrown off the wagon. A wheel on the wagon ran over his leg, injuring it so severely that it ended his acting/stunting career.
The failure of the original copyright holder to renew the film's copyright resulted in it falling into public domain, meaning that virtually anyone could duplicate and sell a VHS/DVD copy of the film. Therefore, many of the versions of this film available on the market are either severely (and usually badly) edited and/or of extremely poor quality, having been duped from second- or third-generation (or more) copies of the film.
The earliest documented telecasts of this film took place in Chicago 3/5/49 on WENR (Channel 7), in Fort Worth 3/28/49 on WBAP (Channel 5), in Los Angeles 8/28/49 on KTSL (Channel 2) and again 1/1/50 on KECA (Channel 7), in Atlanta 8/30/49 on WSB (Channel 8), in Salt Lake City 9/17/49 on KSL (Channel 5), in Albuquerque 11/15/49 on KOB (Channel 4), and in Philadelphia 11/21/49 on WFIL (Channel 6); in New York City, television viewers got their first look at it 7/23/50 on WOR (Channel 9).
