The Russian dog is based on Bert Gordon's character "The Mad Russian". His catch phrases "How do you do!" and "Do you mean it?" were used quite often by the Warner animators.
This is the first Bugs Bunny cartoon to feature the Warner Bros. shield transforming into his head during the intro.
