- Sylvester is rooting through garbage cans to try and find a decent meal. He quickly shuns the food he finds. Later, he is sitting next to a passenger liner docked in a harbour when he notices Tweety through the porthole. His first attempt to capture it fails miserably, when the yellow bird slams the porthole in his face and causes him to plummet into the sea.
Next, Sylvester sneaks on board the ship and manages to capture Tweety, but his attempts to flee are foiled when he runs into Granny, the bird's owner. She proceeds to beat Sylvester senseless, but loses her glasses in the commotion. With this delay, Sylvester begins chasing Tweety again, but Tweety returns Granny's glasses to her, and she throws him out of the ship. The ship soon departs, but Sylvester manages to stow away in one of the lifeboats.
After another unsuccessful chase, Tweety discovers Sylvester leaning over the side of the ship, a bright shade of green; he is deathly seasick. Tweety attempts to get Sylvester to eat a piece of salt pork, but this makes him even more ill. Sylvester runs to the first aid room and downs an entire bottle of seasick remedy, then resumes chasing Tweety. This chase leads Sylvester into the boiler room, and into the furnace, where he is hurled from one of the ship's funnels howling in pain and on fire.
Sylvester catches up with Tweety, but after Tweety takes out a drawing of a ship and simulates a storm, Sylvester becomes seasick again. Tweety makes his way to the first aid room, and replaces the empty bottle of seasick remedy with the contents of a bottle of nitroglycerin, which Sylvester quickly downs. The nitroglycerin turns Sylvester's saliva into an explosive, and he chases Tweety with this technique. Unfortunately, he runs into Granny, and she attempts to beat him senseless again. When Granny hits him, a massive explosion occurs, sending Sylvester rocketing into the sky. The ship's captain observes this event, and remarks, "I tawt I taw a putty tat," just as Sylvester comes crashing down on him. Granny and Tweety are quick to remark that the captain did indeed see a putty tat. Iris out.
