This was Roger Corman's first film as director. Working on a strict nine-day schedule, he was so nervous that, while driving to the set and it started raining, he pulled to the side of the road and threw up.
In this 1955 movie the place where the five are waiting for the stagecoach is in several old movies. For instance looking at where the road comes down to the house looks exactly like where James Arness rides in the 1956 movie Gun the Man Down, when he is looking for his former partners that left him to the law when he got wounded.
Made its New York TV debut 9/14/56 on WCBS (Channel 2).
