The music that plays when Bugs laughs about the time he blew up Sam in the powder magazine and when he puts eels in his bed is an original composition by Milt Franklyn. It was later re-used at the end of Mixed Master (1956).
This is the first of only four Warner Bros. cartoons in which Bugs Bunny is pitted against all three of his main antagonists, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck. The later three were A Star Is Bored (1956), Bunny: Bugs Bunny's 51 1/2 Anniversary Spectacular (1991) and Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers (1992).
The town of Walls Walla, Washington is once again used as an alliterate pun. The burb is actually known for its sweet onions.
