Although it was considered by many to be the first film to feature a vampire with elongated fangs, five years earlier the Finnish film "The White Reindeer" (1952) had a vampire with long, sharp canines.
In addition to being German Robles' first film, it also happened to be the first teaming with producer/actor Abel Salazar. Although both men would have extensive screen careers, it would be their horror films for which they would be best remembered internationally.
In the scene where Marta is about to go to sleep, she opens the window. Suddenly, the window doors shut themselves. After that, the shadow of a fan that is blowing the wind from the other side of the window is proyected onto the curtains hanging from the window doors.
