As Heavenly pulls the speedboat away from the lighthouse dock and Chance waves the contract at her, the document disappears from his right hand, then reappears.
Chance comes from the bathroom with a white towel over his shoulder, and, at one point, he drops the towel. An instant later, the towel is back on his shoulder.
(at around 4 mins) Chance Wayne checks into a hotel and his coat is halfway on. He then puts it on and the collar is not straight. In the next shot from behind, his collar is straight. The next shot shows him walking away, and his collar is again slightly crooked.
During the pot-smoking scene, there is one shot in which Chance is seen looking to his right with the cigarette in his mouth. There is a cut to another angle, as Alexandra flops down on the bed, and Chance now has no cigarette and his head is leaned straight back on the mattress.
The way the goons hold Chance changes.
The film is set in the Gulf coast town of "St. Cloud", which is the name of an actual inland town in central Florida. However, Chance and the Princess are shown driving out of Florida at the beginning of the film, so the movie is not set in that state. It seems most likely that "St. Cloud" is a fictional town, intended to stand in for a coastal location in Mississippi or Louisiana.
Approximately 80 minutes into the movie, when Chance and Heavenly are in the lighthouse, Chance lights a cigarette with the hurricane lamp. Not only does the cigarette not light, but one minute and two seconds later he stubs out the fully smoked butt. A wisp of smoke is never seen during that time.
(at around 1h 23 mins) There is a camera shadow on the man in a blue suit as he passes in front of the camera.
(at around 1h 55 mins) A camera shadow is visible on Thomas J. Finley, Jr.
In the beginning of the movie as Chance is driving, he sees a sign saying "You Are Now Leaving Florida." The multi-lane highway runs very close to the beach with no buildings in between the road and beach and dozens of oil pumps adjacent to the highway. This clearly was filmed in southern California.
Just after the opening scene in which Chance and Alexandra are leaving Florida, Chance pulls her Cadillac off the road and parks it in front of a liquor store, where he goes in to get a bottle of Smirnoff vodka. One of the neon signs in the liquor store window advertises Coors beer. The movie's setting is the eastern United States (presumably a Gulf Coast state), and Coors was sold in only west of the Mississippi River at that time.
