- The character, Bruce, is struck in the face multiple times with a cane-sword and blood is visible, he is then knocked unconcious. When he awakens, he is tied to and trailed from behind by a running horse. When his body is seen, his face is terribly mutilated
- The character, Abigail, is rendered unconscious with chloroform and tied to the bed. The bed is then set on fire and she frantically screams. She is burned alive and her wounded face is later seen
