Final solo appearance of Daffy Duck, and the only solo appearance of his short during the DePatie-Freleng era.
Daffy borrows a line from his WB and fellow fowl cast mate, Foghorn Leghorn, when he states he keeps his feathers numbered in case of emergency.
The title is a play on the haute cuisine French dish, pressed duck.
As design moved into the space age (and swinging) sixties, the background artwork of cartoons became more abstract and modern, but was no less colorful.
Another animated ursine character, Yogi Bear, had been featured in a movie and a TV show a few years prior. He was created by rival studios HB. The bears shown here, and the appearance of a ranger (albeit a human looking one) might have been a sly wink at Yogi mania.
