When Mike is captured and his brother Doug is freaking out, Doug looks around--at the dead soldier lying next to him and then at the dead Apache hanging from the rock above him. The Apache is looking at him, even though earlier he was looking at him when he was positioned on the opposite side.
At the film's climax, Doug rides to help Captain Coburn and as he rounds the top of the hill he is clearly riding with both hands on the reins with his rifle in its saddle holster, but seconds later as he dismounts, he has his rifle in his hand.
The rifle which Bodine takes out of the crate to show Cochise is already loaded since he simply wraps it in a blanket and later unwraps it and starts firing. However, when Coburn recovers the crates and takes out five rifles for his plan, he asks Doug to load them for him.
When the bugle is playing the "Charge," the closed caption says "Reveille." Reveille is played in the morning to wake up soldiers.
When "The End" is displayed, a 38-star flag is waving. The flag has five rows of stars: 8-7-8-7-8, with the rows of stars centered. The official 38-star flag adopted July 4, 1877, had the rows left hand justified.
But since Cochise died in 1874, the flag should not have been 38 stars.
The battle of Shiloh was in 1862, so depending on how long Bodine had been stationed at the fort, it should have been a 34 star (1861-1863), 35 star (1863-1865), 36 star (1865-1867) or 37 star (1867-1877) flag. Perhaps a second viewing could pin down the date.

When Murphy kills the lone Apache capturing the man's horse (with his wounded sergeant), the dead Apache moves while lying dead.
During the fight scene between Captain Coburn (Audie Murphy) & Corporal Bodine (red-headed Kenneth Tobey), there are obvious stand-ins for both characters. The brown haired Coburn now has much darker hair-almost black whilst the red haired Bodine has dark brown hair.
During the fight scene between Captain Coburn & Corporal Bodine, Bodine throws a punch and follows a left handed cross from Coburn with a right handed cross of his own. The punch clearly misses Coburn by several inches, though Coburn goes reeling back.
Just prior to the wagon exploding, you can see a flash on the ground to the left of the wagon. This was obviously part of the pyrotechnics used to set off the wagon explosion.
When Bodine steals the rifles, and tells the rest of the deserters to load them on the horses, the crates are loaded vertically on the horses backs. When they ride off, the rifle crates, are loaded horizontally along the horses backs.
When Coburn is chasing Bodine at the climax, multiple tire tracks are visible in the sand.
