- The main character rapes a woman passing by. It is not onscreen, but it is implied because of what happens afterwards.

- A few shots of the disfigured main character show his face. While the burns are stylized, they're realistic enough to be disturbing to some-especially after the film has built up the suspense of what he looks like under his bandages.
- A secondary (but important) character is attacked by an older man. She fights him off and runs away, but the POV shots before he attacks suggest he was going to sexually assault her.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The main character begins to hallucinate as he passes through a crowd of people with distorted faces in the final sequence of the film. This is a very disturbing sequence.
