Sex & Nudity

  • A smitten young woman says to her lover, "Take me tonight." But they are both abruptly distracted and nothing happens.
  • Later in another scene the young woman is attacked by a gang of hoodlums who attempt to molest her but her lover comes to the rescue, beating/killing them before taking her away to a safe place. Despite being rather frightening in nature the scene is very short and nothing unwatchable whatsoever is shown.
  • A young woman wears a dress revealing minor cleavage.

Violence & Gore

  • A wagon overturns in the final battle, killing a man and his pet kitten. The kitten's crushed body is briefly shown lying twisted in a pool of blood.
  • A group of prisoners is shown executed by a firing squad. This is from a distance and there is no blood.
  • At the beginning of the film, a cavalry attacks a platoon of confederate soldiers and kills them all. Some bloody spray and impalements are shown briefly. This is the only scene of disturbing violence in the film.
  • When two guys have a wrestling match it turns into a huge brawl.
  • A guy reaches for his gun to shoot a cowboy in cold blood. The cowboy knocks him out cold and then knocks the guys buddy out as well.
  • A guy beats up a teenage boy and is then stoped and knocked out cold by his boss.
  • A guy a saves his girlfriend from a bunch of muggers.
  • French cavalrymen armed with pistols and sword attack cowboys who are on a horse drive. The cowboys take them down with their rifles and pistols.

Profanity

  • Several uses of "damn" and "hell" throughout, and 1 use each of "ass", "shit", and the f-word.

  • Suggested MPAA re-rating: PG-13 for Western Violence, Bloody Images, and Brief Strong Language.

Violence & Gore

  • Jamison returns from patrol dead and tied to a cross on his horse. Somewhat bloody gunshot wounds are seen, and his mouth is dripping blood. Somewhat disturbing. Shortly after, his commanding officer's wagon train is attack by the bandits who murdered him.
